Softy gets the scoop on Pete Arbogast radio call
Just spoke to USC play by play voice Pete Arbogast for our pregame show Saturday. Asked him if he sees the hit on Dante Moore differently than he did Saturday: "Oh for sure. He came in late....I didn't see any of the taunting....I wasn't looking at it because I was watching Dante. I got the call wrong. It's not the first time and it probably won't be the last time."

This is what “communication issues” look like for USC’s defense.

After a one-day, hiatus, bootlicking has resumed
"Oregon is a much better football program than USC... If you're going to judge Lincoln Riley - If he loses to Washington, bring the battle axe. He loses to Wisconsin or Penn State, bring it on." @colincowherd thinks people are too harsh on Riley for losing to Oregon

How do you do!
For what it’s worth, I reached out to USC play-by-play announcer Pete Arbogast today to see if he wanted to explain what he was seeing Saturday night as his call has now gone viral. He declined comment.

Wasn’t this event lovely? 🎶 USC Thornton and USC Visions and Voices celebrated the 50th anniversary of Stevie Wonder’s Songs in the Key of Life with a special live concert featuring students, alumni, faculty and talented headliners. And the biggest surprise? Stevie Wonder himself. 📷: © USC 2026; Courtesy of USC Thornton School of Music / Photo credit: Brian Feinzimer @bfeinzimer

Who at USC can sit Lincoln Riley down and talk to him about how his players should act? Who can sit with the radio broadcaster and straighten him out? Who is the adult in the room in Heritage Hall?

This week is why I always said it mattered that Lincoln Riley blew off fans, students, alumni. He has no base of support once some adversity hits and is getting universally lambasted

After gaslighting the public all offseason, the USC fan journalists are still trying to process the loss
Oregon’s on a bye and of course he’s using a nationally televised win for momentum.

Pete Carroll and John McKay wouldn't do this. USC has a complete leadership vacuum
USC has the talent but look at these players man…. Huge culture issue there.

Poor Shaun Cody. A voice of reason in this bastion of unprofessionalism. Jen Cohen has a lot of cleaning up to do
This USC radio broadcast footage is just straight embarrassing.

"I'm gonna give Lincoln Riley a lot of credit because they came out and suspended Desman Stephens for a game." Wow, a one-game slap on the wrist. Some of these guys still can't criticize Riley.
You can be a warrior on the field and still have compassion. @joelklatt responds to USC LB Desman Stephens II's celebration and suspension after the hit on Dante Moore.

Lincoln Riley's No. 1 enabler suddenly sees problems
"USC's program is a little too casual, a little too sophomoric, a little too high school. You think Curt Cignetti at Indiana's sideline would've looked like that? No." @colincowherd discusses Lincoln Riley's program culture at USC

So how is Lincoln Riley's theory working that he needed to drop Notre Dame so he could make the College Football Playoff?
