Rafiki has been recognized as a digital public good by the @DPGAlliance.
You can now find the #Rafiki codebase in the official Digital Public Goods Registry. The DPG Standard isn’t a rubber stamp of approval. It evaluates nine areas including open licensing, clear ownership, documentation, platform independence, data protection, interoperability standards, accessibility, and whether a product is designed to do no harm.
Rafiki’s review included verification of its codebase and documentation, along with an accessibility audit.

Need a refresher on Rafiki? Rafiki enables Open Payments out of the box.
But it isn’t a payment app, and it’s not designed for individual developers to spin up an unregulated payment network.
Rafiki is built for financial service providers operating within applicable regulation.
That means networks built on Rafiki are designed around licensed participants with KYC and AML/CFT obligations, sanctions screening, and fraud prevention programs embedded within their organizations.
Rafiki provides the infrastructure that lets regulated financial systems connect, and move money across them with confidence.
