Protest over laddus? What in the heck?
Thousands of students at Allen Career Institute protested across its centres in Kota after the coaching institute allegedly failed to fulfil its promise of providing six laddus to each student before the Diwali break. Angry students took to the streets, created an Instagram page named ‘Laddu Janta Party’ and flooded social media with reels and memes over the issue. The protests reportedly escalated to the extent that the coaching management had to call the police to control the situation.
Meanwhile, some rival coaching institutes organised bhandaras offering unlimited sweets on Sunday, adding to the buzz around the controversy. Allen founder Brajesh Maheshwari reportedly made last-minute arrangements for laddus in an attempt to contain the situation.

The Indian left is deeply invested in political Islam, because it is convinced that Muslims will win the demographic battle very soon (think 2030s or latest by 2040).
Remember: in India's first-past post electoral system, the goal isn't to reach 51%, but 33%. For the Muslim bloc vote to hit this in 2030-40 is realistic, probably even inevitable.
This is why Congress is willing to take defeat after defeat at the hands of BJP without budging from its ideology. They know that BJP is the bright flame before the lamp goes out.
BJP on its part is trying hard to gerrymander India through Lok Sabha delimitation to delay the inevitable by 1-2 more decades, but even it knows that it's basically over because Hindus are incapable of big-picture political action, they live paycheck to paycheck vote like Europeans.
BJP's calculation is that India's demographic swell will plateau and taper in the 2040s, and if it can delay an Islamist takeover, Hindus might have a slim chance.
