Not every forum is a platform for unrelated political agendas. If we cannot stay on topic in a debate about GA revitalization, what example are we setting? Renewal starts with discipline.

Four things happened this past week affecting Christians in the region: 1. An Iranian missile strike landed near Jerusalem’s Old City, putting the Church of the Holy Sepulchre at risk. Another fragment fell near the Temple Mount. 2. Christians in Syria were attacked by radical Islamist groups. 3. The IDF released footage showing a Hezbollah tunnel running beneath a church in southern Lebanon. 4. The Latin Patriarch was temporarily denied access to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre due to safety concerns during those same missile threats. Israeli leadership intervened and worked with church authorities to restore access while balancing safety. Only one of these became a full episode on Tucker’s show. That tells you everything about the priorities.

It’s hard to capture the pure joy and jubilation on the streets of Tel Aviv tonight. We were having a late al fresco dinner when throngs of people would come by at regular intervals, singing and chanting merrily. They carried Torah scrolls like they were Stanley Cup trophies, hoisting them into the air and dancing around it. They have many reasons to celebrate today. The hostages are home, war is over, and it’s Simchat Torah - the happiest day of the Jewish holiday season where they celebrate and honor God’s Word.

I have many dear friends in Bat Yam, including mayor Tzvika Brot, thankfully they are all accounted for. I am grieving for those lost and praying for the safe recovery of those still missing. השם ינחם השם ירחם
6 people were killed in Bat Yam last night, including a 4 year old girl and a 10 year old boy. At least 7 more people are missing in the rubble. Another 200 were wounded in direct hits across the country. We are alone but resolved to take on this evil. Send love and prayers.

One year ago today, I landed in NYC, cutting short my vacation as we faced the worst day in Israeli history. Hours after the massacre, while we were still counting our dead, I heard chants outside @IsraelinNewYork. I looked out and saw a group—not protesting, but celebrating. Now, a year later, that small group has grown to thousands, and their awful chants have become normalized. But one thing remains clear: it was never about Palestinian lives. It’s always been about targeting Jews—then, and even more so today.

its been a tough year to be a Jew. so much noise and hate and conflict and violence. can be hard to navigate the truth with so much chaos. i traveled to Israel a few months ago, a mother walked me through her home where her family was murdered and mutilated. no media, no reporters, it was just a mom talking to me. i thought of my own kids and how they were safe and happy as she described how hers were taken. i don't remember all of what she told me but i remember when she planely asked 'why do they hate us so much?'. seems like things are going to get worse in this world bfore they get better but hate and violence is an ugly awful part of humanity. i hope someday we find a way to have less of it.

Nasrallah was *my* terrorist. Each one of us grows up watching a terrorist on TV threatening to kill us. For many Americans, it was Osama Bin Laden. For me, it was Nasrallah. I grew up in Northern Israel. Every few years, Nasrallah would target us with a barrage of rockets. His rockets would be directed at nearby Jewish towns, but of course they miss and fall in Muslim towns in Israel. My town was one of them. Imagine the irony. US college students can not understand this. *My* terrorist is dead today. It's great news not just for me, but for many Syrians, Lebanese, Saudis, and..Israelis. I am naively optimistic. But I hope today sends a signal to people in the Middle East that moderation, acceptance of reality and coexistence is the only way. Terrorism way will always end up in failure. Always. Even if it takes 32 years to arrive.
