I didn't know a thing about politics when I read Bloom County as a kid, but as I got older & recalled strips like this, I thought Berkely was rather right leaning because at no point in the strips did a left-leaning-representation ever come out looking anything other than silly.
I know *now* that he's as left leaning as they come but he always made the right seem a lot more sensible & sane in the comics.
Now, if you'll pardon me, I have to set a trap. Where did I leave that pile of The Village Voice magazines?

Weather is starting to cool down. I've not hit the anvil all summer because it was just too hot, so I'm ready to get back in action.
I have crappy hammers. They're HF specials, I've cleaned up the faces and they do... okay, but it's time to invest in some quality metal smooshers.
Looking for a US based hammer, preferably a smaller shop. Really need a good 2.5# rounding/peen.

I've looked through his feed. He is unwell & not very well acquainted with reality. His hatred has consumed him so much that there is nothing he won't say or do as long as it goes against his enemies like Musk & Trump.
It's sad that people have so little self-worth that they wrap what little they have in over-the-top hatred.

No matter how many words I block, mute, or hide, I cannot seem to keep a particular nutjob whose name rhymes with Splandance Mowens off my timeline.
I really, really do not care what the current obsession of the zeitgeist is about her. I just want to live my life without knowing anything about her at all.
