The underlying theme is that Arkansas has been operating its athletic department as a for-profit company, and not as an athletic department interested in winning football games. Yurachek has had a ton of success as a CEO, and absolutely zero as a winning Athletic Director.

Silverfield beat around it last week, but fully clarified what he meant on the @GabeKuhnShow. Ain’t no such thing as ballin’ on a budget in the SEC. The UA athletic department should be embarrassed for putting Ryan — or any coach for that matter — in this situation.

When your coach spends a bunch of his first offseason fundraising for NEXT YEAR, you’ve not put him in a position to succeed. This is a big reason why the Arkansas board is reviewing the leadership in the athletic department.
