I understand for many new folks holding ZEC on an exchange is good enough for their needs but I'd really encourage at least playing around with the wallets as it's a perfect illustration of what crypto could be i) download vizor or zodl wallet (ideally secured with keystone hardware key, though ledger integration is coming soon) ii) move some funds to it from the exchange and shield theme iii) from here, you have an encrypted base of money. similar to a private bank for offshore wealth banking iv) then, you can use the crosspay function to make payments on any chain and any token via the built-in near intents integration so you pretty much get an international private bank that you can use for shielding your wealth, making your payments, and even privately voting on zcash network upgrades
