I’m very sad to hear about Blanche, a wonderful woman. I interviewed her for 1+1 . Something glitched with the recording + we asked her to come back to record again - kindly, she did. abc.net.au/news/2026-09-09/a…

@MiriamCorowa reflects on the invisible load placed on First Nations journalists, the importance of taking responsibility for your own learning, and how that mindset can shape a career. Read the full interview: buff.ly/9eqQ0tC

The passing of David Malouf reminds us of all that his genius gave to Australia and the world. In both poetry and prose, David dealt in hard truths and deep insights. He captured the harsh, vast and intense beauty of our land and the lives it shaped. His creativity breathed new life into ancient classics and brought him international acclaim in the process. Throughout it all, he remained a figure of great gentleness, profound strength and unwavering humanity. Today, generations of writers and readers will be mourning an inspiration. For as long as David Malouf's words are read, the power of his work will endure. May he rest in peace.

The irreplaceable James Valentine. He once he told me you don't have to read someone's book from cover to cover to interview them. He was right. Because interviewing is all about listening. Miss you James Valentine. #RIP abc.net.au/news/2026-04-23/7…

When it comes to longevity, life has three parts: 0–25: Your body takes care of you 25–50: You take care of your body 50+: Your body reflects how well you did in part two

So delighted to uncover the story of Hazel Pritchard (1912-1967), a female Australian test cricketer lost to history. These early test players were ordinary women, humble and unassuming. It's wonderful that there work is being recognised at long last #cricket #test #history #women

I grew up watching ā€œAll in the Familyā€. These days, I can see that Rob Reiner played the character of Michael ā€œMeatheadā€ Stivic perfectly & I always agreed with him when he argued with Archie Bunker. This news is incredibly sad. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.
Rob Reiner was Hollywood Royalty. This is a horrific, tragic loss. He blessed the world with a treasure trove of comedy gold. This is my favorite. Often when I'm putting on my shoes, I think of the 'Sock And A Sock' scene from All In The Family. ~ Rest In Peace šŸ•Šļø

Rob Reiner was an American Icon who, through his art and activism, held a mirror up to American culture. His talent, humor, activism, and patriotism will be missed. Our heart breaks at the senseless loss of our friend.
