A heartbreaking story involving Winnipeg Jets goaltender Clay Stevenson. 💔
In 2019, Clay lost his mother, Holly, to suicide.
She was his biggest supporter. She drove him to practices, helped him train, and even convinced him not to quit hockey when he was 16.
Just 10 days after losing her, Clay returned to the ice and recorded a 39-save shutout.
Today, at 27, he’s living his NHL dream with the Winnipeg Jets.
But there’s something special on the back of his goalie mask.
❤️ The Star of Life symbol, honoring his mother, who worked as a paramedic.
She never got to see him make the NHL, but he carries her memory with him every time he steps onto the ice.
Some dreams are achieved for two people. ❤️
