I made a comment right before the snap that they might fake it knowing ND likes to send the house to block punts. Everyone around me glared at me as if I called the play.
When I said it I thought they might pass it. Not run right into the jailbreak rush.
Rewatching the highlights and I still just can't fathom WHY we would do this.
Look at the punter! He's standing on BYU's 12 yard line, 21 yards away from the first down marker at the 33.
I'm glad it didn't end up killing us but man I hope we never see this again

This is genuinely hilarious at this point. Like these guys haven’t watched a college football game before yesterday.
On Notre Dame’s final drive, there were multiple occasions where the clock ran longer than it was supposed to:
• Out of bounds at 0:27, clock goes to 0:26
• Out of bounds at 0:17, clock goes to 0:15
BYU’s clock operator needs to be investigated.

To my Notre Dame friends and fans—thank you for putting up with all the insufferable BYU fans today (me included). Please take it as the greatest sign of respect how much this win meant to all of us. You are the big brother and the gold standard. Visiting South Bend last year was a dream come true—a true football cathedral. Football fans everywhere aspire to earn the arrogance that you have earned (and I mean that with admiration and respect). You have an incredible coach and team, so please win out. We will be cheering for you the rest of the way.
Oh, and sorry about not getting one last play. I would have enjoyed watching Carr sail another pass over his receiver…(am I doing it right?😂)

BYU had 3rd or 4th and short (1-4 yards) 8 times against ISU. They converted two of those. Both conversions were with Bear's legs. The 6 failed attempts were either handoffs to the RB or pass attempts.
I think without LJ, Bear has to be the short yardage back.
