Indian River State College’s Board of Trustees just requested that they “eliminate” both the Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving programs. Further proof that regardless of your success in the water, an administration won’t check your percentage of “best times” before cutting you. 52 consecutive national championships for the men and 48 for the women. Our sport continues to be a top choice for cost saving / funding reallocation for the “big sports” We knew this was coming and we need to do more to protect our sports before it’s too late.
