🚨 Reminder for node operators Check your finder fee vault. If your node stopped appearing on RUNEBond, the vault is empty. The finder fee vault is how operators pay for the bond providers RUNEBond brings them. Instead of an upfront fee, a small share of your operator commission is deducted as those bond providers get paid. You only pay when the node is actually earning. This churn settled more than 60 days of rewards at once, so vaults were charged for the whole period. Many hit zero. When the vault reaches zero, all of the operator's nodes are delisted and stop appearing on the platform list. You can check your balance in the Operator Dashboard on the web, no wallet connection needed. Your listing, profile and bond providers stay in place. Top up the vault and the node is listed again.

Seems like there are a lot of eyes on THORChain lately. If you are one of the new ones and still piecing it together, here is a quick reminder of what the protocol actually is and how it works. 🟦 What it does @THORChain is a decentralized liquidity protocol for native cross-chain swaps. You send bitcoin:native and receive $ETH, both in their native form. No wrapped assets, no bridges, no custodian holding your funds in between. It is one of the few systems in crypto where the settlement layer itself moves native assets across chains. 🟦 The role of $RUNE Every liquidity pool pairs one asset with RUNE. A swap from BTC to ETH is internally two swaps: BTC to RUNE, then RUNE to ETH. This is the reason RUNE is not optional in the design. It is the settlement asset that lets chains with no shared infrastructure clear against each other. 🟦 Who secures it The network is run by nodes. Each node bonds RUNE as collateral before it can participate. Nodes collectively hold the private keys of the vaults where user assets sit, split via threshold signatures so no single node can move funds alone. If a node misbehaves or goes offline, its bond gets slashed. Security here is economic: an attacker would need to control enough bonded RUNE to outweigh the value they could steal, and that RUNE would be destroyed in the process. 🟦 Where node income comes from Nodes earn exclusively from swap fees. There are no block rewards and no token emissions subsidizing them. If swap volume drops, node income drops with it. This is worth stating plainly because most proof-of-stake networks pay validators through inflation. THORChain does not. Revenue is a direct function of usage. 🟦 Staking RUNE (bonding) On THORChain, staking RUNE means bonding it to a specific node, run by a specific operator, under terms that operator sets. Unlike most networks, you do not delegate to a pool and forget about it. The process involves a whitelist request and operator approval before your RUNE becomes active and starts earning. That friction is by design. It forces the bond provider to evaluate who they are trusting with capital, and forces the operator to choose who they let in. 🟦 Churn Churn is the periodic rotation of the active node set. Standby nodes with sufficient bond rotate in, existing nodes rotate out, and the network avoids ossifying into a fixed group. Rewards generated during a churn cycle are distributed to nodes and their bond providers at the end of that cycle, so staked RUNE only starts earning once the node is churned in, and only stops when it churns out. 🟦 Supported chains Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, BNB Smart Chain, Solana, TRON, Dogecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Avalanche, Cosmos and Base. Next in line, with no confirmed launch date yet, are Zcash and Monero.

Looks like we've got a green day in the market today! Remember that thorchain:native staking is now live! It's a slightly different kind of staking, but one that generates its yield purely from protocol usage, without any inflation whatsoever. A green day after such a red stretch is something to be grateful for. Enjoy the day, everyone!

Question for anyone holding $RUNE but not bonding. What's stopping you? Not looking for the obvious answers. Genuinely curious whether it's the minimum bond, the whitelist process, unbonding time, not knowing which operator to trust, or something else.

A few days ago we integrated @THORChain's official swap widget on RUNEBond. No wallet connect. No signing. No approvals. Pick a pair, get a deposit address, send, receive. ChangeNOW-style UX, except the swap settles on @THORChain 🔥 It's early, and we have a direct line to THORChain on this so feedback now actually goes somewhere. If you try it, tell us what held you back: the rate, the wait.. ? Reply or DM it all goes upstream. Thanks! ⚡️⚡️

Node operators 👇 Sponsored nodes just got a rework. If you've been on RUNEBond a while you already know the feature: operators can bid to appear at the top of the node list. It's been live for a while, but the rates were set for a different market and with more operators joining every month, we keep seeing creative attempts to land in first position. We'd rather make that explicit and fair. The top slot goes to whoever bids for it, not to whoever finds the cleverest workaround. So we've cut the rates across the board. Every position is considerably cheaper than it was, first place now starts at just 1 $RUNE per day. Read how it works before you start, it's all in our docs. And the top three spots now get more than list placement. They also appear in a permanent banner at the top of the app, visible across the entire browsing session, not just on the nodes page, everywhere a user goes. Visibility is what turns a listing into an actual bond.

🆕 New on RUNEBond Node operators can now publicly set their Telegram, Discord or X handle, so their BPs can reach them directly on the channels they already use. And if you set your X handle, you'll be tagged automatically in RUNEBond's notifications every time your node gets a new whitelist request. A few operators are already using it would love to hear what you think 👇

Whichever path you choose, bond your $RUNE!
320140 $RUNE. That's the total rewards generated by the nodes and bond providers who found each other through RUNEBond since we launched. Not our revenue. Not TVL. Not a projection. Rewards that landed in other people's wallets. Here's why that distinction matters: RUNEBond never touches your funds. There's no vault you deposit into, no wrapper token. When you bond, the transaction goes straight from your wallet to the validator node. We're the layer that helps the right node find you and that puts its terms in public, on-chain, where they can be checked by anyone at any time. The listing is on-chain. Min bond, target bond, operator fee, unbond policy, node profile, chat history all of it written to @THORChain, all of it auditable by anyone, none of it quietly editable after the fact. Over time that record becomes something an operator can't shed: a public track history you can read before you commit a single RUNE. That shifts the odds. It doesn't remove the decision. Because when you stake RUNE, choosing a responsible operator is everything. Their uptime, their fee, how they've handled unbonds before, whether they answer when someone asks a question in public that's what determines your outcome. Read the chat. Read the unbond policy. Compare more than one node before you decide. 320.14K RUNE is what happens when that information stops being private. Holding RUNE? Browse the listed nodes, compare fees and track records, then request a whitelist from an operator you'd actually trust. Running a node? List it, publish your terms, and let your history speak for itself.

🛡️ New on RUNEBond: the Operator Power indicator Every node now shows how much of the network its operator really controls. Here's why it matters: in @THORChain, 1 node = 1 vote. It doesn't matter how much $RUNE is bonded to it. An operator running 8 nodes has 8x the power of an independent one running a single node. The more node control concentrates in a few hands, the more fragile the network becomes. So we made it visible, right on every node card: 🟢 Independent operator 🔴 Dominant operator And we added a new filter: sort the node list by "Lowest operator power" to find independent operators to bond with. A slightly higher fee is a small price to pay for a more decentralized, more resilient THORChain. Your bond isn't just yield, it's a vote for how decentralized the network is. Choose independent. Spread the power. Strengthen THORChain.

🔵 RUNEBond: who's RUNEBond's perfect user? 🤖 Fable 5: The one sitting on idle who knows bonding pays more, but never bonded because the process was opaque: find a node, beg for a whitelist via DM, trust blindly. 🔵 RUNEBond: And what do we change for them? 🤖 Fable 5: Everything happens on-chain: node listings with visible fees and capacity, verifiable whitelists, direct operator chat. 🔵 RUNEBond: Any other user types that fit RUNEBond? 🤖 Fable 5: A few: Stakers from other chains — they already delegate ATOM or ETH for 3-5%. Bonding RUNE is the same habit with real yield: paid from actual swap fees, not inflation. Passive income seekers — no farming, no rotating pools, no impermanent loss. Bond once, earn every churn. 🔵 RUNEBond: And who should NOT use RUNEBond? 🤖 Fable 5: Three types: traders who need instant exits, APY chasers who need dopamine, and anyone bonding money they can't afford to lock. Bonding is for patient capital with conviction. Everyone else the swap page is that way 👉

We've been doing some soul searching at RUNEBond lately, and we came back to basics. As the platform has grown, the structure of the app had started to get a little confusing. So we took a step back, simplified things, and refocused on what we're actually here to do: make $RUNE staking on @THORChain as clear and accessible as possible, especially for people coming to it for the first time. THORChain staking has its own quirks. Nothing that's hard to understand, but things that need to be explained properly and handled carefully. That's the job. Everything else is a distraction. Here's what changed in this update. The My Requests and Portfolio tabs are now unified into a single view. No more jumping between sections to find your own information, it's all in one place.

🧵If you hold $RUNE and it is just sitting in your wallet, you are leaving real yield on the table. @THORChain generates $20 to $30 million in swap fees every year. A portion of that goes to node operators and the people who bond $RUNE to support them. @RUNEBondApp was built to make that accessible to everyone. Here is everything you need to know.
