Everyone agrees the twice-a-year clock change is ridiculous. But if we’re making one time permanent, why choose the one that most sleep and circadian experts don’t recommend? Permanent standard time aligns better with our biology because morning sunlight is what sets our internal clocks. Permanent Daylight Saving Time means darker winter mornings, later body clocks, and more circadian disruption. This would be another disaster for American health. It’s probably too late to stop this but switch this to permanent Standard time instead!!!!
BREAKING: The House has passed legislation to make Daylight Saving Time permanent nationwide, ending the twice-a-year clock changes by a 308-117 vote. Backed by President Trump, the bill now heads to the Senate. If approved and signed into law, Americans would no longer have to change their clocks.

If you aren’t a senator please keep scrolling. Senator, we want the lock the clock thing to be for STANDARD time. It is so much better for everyone’s health. Daylight savings is NOT MAHA. Please help. Also your hair looks shiny and bouncy.

I came across this “Workers Deserve More” graphic in the Democratic Socialists of America’s program. Here’s the hard truth: If you care about improving workers’ pay and working conditions, it’s pointless to do more marching and slogan-shouting while supporting rules that leave workers with fewer jobs to choose from.

Workers need employers competing to hire them. Getting there means doing something many labor activists oppose: make it easier to start businesses and to hire and fire employees. When firing becomes a legal nightmare, hiring becomes a risk many employers won’t take. Others decide not to open a business at all. Reducing those risks encourage more businesses to open and recruit. With more employers competing for workers, better pay and conditions become ways to attract people and keep them. The best way to help workers is to make it easier to start businesses and to hire and fire employees. Giving workers more protections on paper means little if those rules leave them with fewer jobs to choose from.

Fair question.
If government can’t even execute people right, why would anyone trust them with healthcare?

I'm still waiting for Mamdani and the DSA to define what kind of home will be the standard for the "dignified life." They'll abolish private property and have housing for all — but no one asks what type of housing. I genuinely want to know and see the floorplan.
THEO VON: “Will you define socialism for us?” MAMDANI: “Socialism, to me, means that you will have WHATEVER YOU NEED to live a dignified life, and that it is the GOVERNMENT’S JOB to deliver on that.” I’ve heard a line like that before. It came from a famous book, and it was describing the highest stage of communism.

I was looking forward to seeing everyone point at Wilson tonight, but the game doesn't start until 9pm and is cable only. #fever

I am not looking to punish Republicans. I just looked at my ballot and didn't see any Republicans worth voting for.
If you sit out this election to "punish" Republicans, you are choosing to reward the same Democrats whose policies kill Americans like Laken Riley.

I would have thought that was a job for the legislative branch.
Chuck Schumer: "Donald Trump is asleep at the wheel when it comes to reining in unchecked AI. Trump's meeting at the White House will be an utter failure if they don't come to an agreement about some real guardrails."

I'll never understand foul calls in basketball. A player runs down the floor not paying attention, knocks over a defender, and the defender is called for a foul. All this away from the ball. #fever

Now I'm gonna start looking for them near known dump sites.
It’s interesting how we don’t have Flock Cameras where they could be useful. 🤣 Anyway, if you want to dump some trash this weekend, stop by Connection Road! Hey @IndyDPW, here’s some trash for you.

I switched to the fever game after halftime. I knew they would lose once I saw she had 1 assist.

We suck, but the other side sucks more. What a winning message.
"Trump has betrayed us! I'm going to show the GOP a lesson by never voting GOP again!" *Dems import another 50 million illegals, grant mass amnesty, pack the courts, lock Republicans out of power permanently, and everyone to the right of AOC is lawfare'd and/or arrested* You're not "teaching the GOP a lesson" by staying home. You're locking yourself out of power permanently. Anyone telling you to stay home is NOT your friend or ally.

Politicians turn their backs on the voters and expect them to keep voting for them.
“Daddy, what happened to America?” “Well, son, some Republicans didn’t get everything on their political wish list, so they threw a tantrum, stayed home on Election Day, and handed over the keys to our enemies.”

Why would we ever subsidize a data center?
Today, the Indy MDC approved a $240 million subsidy for the Sabey data center over objections of many in the community. It could be the largest property tax abatement in Indianapolis history--more than the Eli Lilly expansion. Lilly created thousands of jobs. Sabey promises 75.
