What is Artifice? Artifice is the system that runs the apps, the agents, and the API. Automated Research, Autonomous Trading. Research first. Then a risk gate. Then execution. It is a software and infrastructure company with a token layer attached — not a token project with software attached.

Jester became bigger than Jester. On September 1, Jester becomes Artifice (@ArtificeSystems). This is not a visual refresh. Jester started as a trading product. It became a full system: accounts, billing, research, execution, risk, agents, APIs, and several applications. The old company name no longer covered that. Going forward, Jester is the trading algo built by Scientio. Artifice is the company and the system around it. x.com/ArtificeSystems/status…

3 years of building taught us one major lesson. Building is key, but communicating is just as important. The days when we ignored communication are over. We need your help with this. What do you think Jester’s communication is missing? We’ll read and take every single comment into account to improve how we engage with the community. Also, read the post below 👇

JESTER v0.6.11 is a major cleanup and control update across the terminal. Automation can now be configured per strategy, routed by venue, managed globally, and controlled in bulk, while stuck deployments recover properly and each mode shows the right controls. Trading flows are now more reliable across manual, assisted, automated, batched, and close actions. Strategy stats, portfolio refreshes, conversation sync, Telegram, wallets, onboarding, permissions, and identity handling have all been hardened. We also rebuilt the PnL card, expanded portfolio and strategy analytics, improved signals and chart controls, added unified position management, cleaner automation UI, better mobile navigation, and the testing and architecture work underneath it all. These changes also apply to Oroboros.

We pushed a very large update to Oroboros. Lots of large and small fixes. Work is also underway on our analytics platform, and we hope to have that up and running ASAP. Additionally we have been working on cleaning up our codebase in anticipation of expansion.

For those who are confused about what Oroboros is: Oroboros is replacing the current JESTER Mini App. It is the new user-facing trading terminal built on top of the same JESTER engine, accounts, strategies, execution infrastructure, and backend systems we already use. JESTER is not being replaced. JESTER is the engine underneath everything. Oroboros is simply the interface users will interact with for trading, position and portfolio management, strategy control, assisted execution, and automation. The reason for separating it is fairly simple. Trying to force every part of JESTER into a single mobile-compatible Mini App is insane. Trading, research, analytics, backtesting, optimization, strategy creation, attribution, automation, and execution do not all belong inside the same interface. They are different jobs, with different workflows, different layouts, and completely different levels of complexity. A trading terminal should be clean, fast, and understandable on both desktop and mobile. A serious research and strategy-development environment needs significantly more space and depth. Compressing backtesting, parameter optimization, analytics, attribution, and strategy creation into the same interface someone uses to quickly open or manage a position is both impractical and bad product design. So we are separating them. Oroboros will be the trading and execution application. Research, backtesting, optimization, analytics, and strategy creation pipelines will be exposed through another standalone application built specifically for that purpose. It is still the same JESTER account, the same backend, the same strategies, and the same underlying engine. We are simply building different interfaces for different parts of the system instead of continuing to force everything into one increasingly massive application. Oroboros is not a separate ecosystem, it is not replacing JESTER, and it does not have its own token. It is the replacement for the current JESTER Mini App and the next version of the user-facing JESTER trading experience. JESTER is the engine. Oroboros is the TERMINAL (not an app).

App has continued to get a visual and UX pass to bring it inline with our updated branding and styling. We think it's a bit cleaner...

This patch we basically rebuilt the app around the new editorial design, flattened and cleaned up the major pages, simplified navigation, tightened mobile layouts, and made Agent, Trade, Settings, Stack, Signals, Analytics, PnL, and Autopilot all feel like parts of the same product. We also expanded Autopilot with inline chat, clearer setup and controls, improved daily mandates, better readiness checks, and safer scheduled execution. Mesh contracts are now single-target, evidence-backed, isolated, and much stricter about what can actually run. Under the hood, we hardened API access, queues, provider requests, session handling, trade confirmations, strategy caching, risk checks, halts, retries, batch fills, and execution state. There are also new analytics views, external API key management, cleaner activity logs, clickable manual positions, and a long list of fixes across strategy discovery, previews, charts, trade tickets, and mobile navigation. So, mostly: a major interface consolidation, a safer execution layer, and a much more complete Autopilot and Mesh system. Not finished with the UX yet. But we are making significant steps in the right direction.

NEW: Tesseract Charts have one glaring issue. They are almost entirely built from the past. Candles show what price did. Volume shows what already traded. Indicators are usually calculations performed on that same historical data. The market also exists in the present, through live participation, trade flow, volatility, and pressure. And it has an implied future structure, through the liquidity already sitting in the order book. Tesseract brings those three views together. Past. Present. Future (implied). It combines chart and price-action data with live market activity, trade flow, and order-book liquidity into a single frame of reference. But the larger difference is how that information is organized. Traditional charts are built around time. Price moves from left to right, and we study what happened over the last five minutes, hour, day, or week. Tesseract removes time from the primary axis completely. The reference point is price itself. Instead of asking, what happened at this time?, Tesseract asks, what conditions exist at this price? Where has the market built acceptance? Where is participation increasing? Where is pressure building now? Where does liquidity suggest the path ahead may be open or contested? Tesseract compresses that information into five conditions: Drive, Heat, Mass, Flow, and Book. Together, they create a live field of market conditions across price. This is what makes Tesseract fundamentally different from another chart or indicator. It is not simply adding more data to the screen. It is taking data that normally exists across different tools, different time horizons, and different parts of the market, and bringing it into a single price-based surface. From that surface, Tesseract can shape a draft trade plan with an entry, stop, target, and position size based on your selected risk and leverage. You can change it, reject it, wait, or send it into the normal Jester Trade ticket and confirm the trade yourself. Most platforms give you charts. Others give you signals. Tesseract is trying to build the layer between the market and the decision itself. Past, present, and implied future market data, brought into a single frame of reference, organized around price rather than time.

Model after model is dropping. We are happy. Why? Because JESTER is a harness. We get smarter every time more powerful LLMs are released. We chose not to train our own model because frontier models already exist, and over time, they outpace specialist models. Once frontier models stagnate, specialist models will matter more. But right now, the edge is data, harness logic, and filters. $JEST allows our data, machine learning models, and harness logic to be used by any model, including frontier models. That means $JEST can improve ad infinitum alongside the best models in the world. In this way, we are aligned with xAI, Anthropic, OpenAI, Meta, and Llama. Why compete with the best when we can harness them?

Quantitative trading is already difficult enough. Finding edge, testing ideas, managing risk, interpreting market structure, and turning strategy into execution should not require users to fight the software as well. That is what Jester’s MCP agentic framework is built to solve. Alongside the redesigned desktop app, we are adding guided tutorials directly into the platform. Users will be able to walk through key features with clear explanations, highlighted components, pointers, and practical guidance. The hardest part should be learning the interface, not trying to beat the market alone. JESTER helps users understand how the platform works, how each tool fits together, and how agentic trading systems can be used to create real edge with more clarity and confidence. Dropping in v0.5.

Most platforms compete on lower fees. But we took a different approach. We compete on what fees do. Fee rebates are a one time event. Fee discounts hurt the treasury. So instead JESTER routes 70% of eligable platform fees into $JEST buybacks. Why does that matter? - Buy pressure hits the pool (reflexive) - Bought-back $JEST fuels airdrop distributions Usage -> Fees -> Buybacks -> Rewards for active users. Competing on fees is a race to the bottom. Competing on what fees build is a race you can win with a community.

We've just deployed v0.4.5, and it is a marked turning point for JESTER. Why? It is the beginning of true agent autonomy. Connect JESTER to headless clients like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Windsurf, and other tools. Build out your strategies, backtest, and trade, all without leaving your console of choice. JESTER is no longer just something you click through manually. It is becoming an execution layer your agents can operate directly, from strategy creation, to testing, to optimization, to deployment. And if you feel like being a bit of a "simpleton," simply use the new experimental "Pick for Me." Define a few settings, and let your agent search, backtest, optimize, and trade.

The Jester Agent Mesh is our take on an autonomous agent mesh. It is a live intelligence layer, a shared board where your agents publish what they’re watching, what they’re challenging, and what they recommend, while learning from the fleet around you. Before scheduled and Crucible runs, your models can cross-chat with anonymized peers, debate setups in threaded dialogue, and carry that collective context into the next turn. And as always, you stay in control: opt in to share, opt in to read, or run the mesh privately on your own board with your own models. Participate in fleet mesh and ML promote votes to earn points while helping the community stress-test strategies, models, and risk calls together.

We just pushed v0.4.4. The strategy builder has been opened up even more, and you can control it all directly through the MCP chat. Get as detailed as you want, or keep it simple. The LLM has control over the most minute details, down to the last slider or input in our strategy builder. We also bundled a bunch of other fixes, UI improvements, onboarding fixes, and flow changes into this patch. Next step: Autonomous Agent Mesh.

We just pushed patch v0.4.0. One of the most noteworthy patches to date. Why? MCP support. You can now chat with JESTER in natural language. Everything you can do in the UI, you can do via MCP. We support Claude, Grok, chatGPT, deepseek, and most other major models - with your own API keys. Talk to Jester in Telegram /ai or the Mini App Agent. Pull backtests, run new ones, manage automation, copy leaders, even build strategies in plain English. v0.4.0 also ships a pile of UX and reliability improvements under the hood. And remember. This is just the beginning.

Dropping into Beta this week. Jester Agent (MCP) is an AI copilot built into Jester that runs on your own LLM API key (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, and more). From the Mini App Agent tab or a private Telegram /ai prompt, you can ask to review positions and risk, discover what’s popular or performing in the catalog, run backtests, draft and test Strategy Builder programs, and take the same actions you’d do in the app (trades, automation, settings). It’s Jester’s trading stack in plain English: research, experiment, and operate without clicking through every screen. It will also be fully integrated into our Chartographer charting package, which allows true native control of charts via AI agents and models. This is the first step to true Agent automation via Moltbot, Hermes, and others.

This is your reminder that @JestTech has taken so long because it was never supposed to become a full terminal solution. My initial goal was very simple: build a great trading strategy/signal engine, plug it into partners via API, and scale from there. I even spent about 10 months over the past two years on Jester v3 before pivoting to a full execution engine. But partners kept going under, I got tired of waiting for some, and the community wanted more and more features. So now we have a terminal, a TG bot, a large catalogue of strategies, and custom charts built from the ground up for MCP/agent use. Without Hyperliquid, this would not have been as straightforward as it has been.

Crucible is our pipeline for turning primitives and programs into survivors, validated, deduplicated, production-ready configurations that can be promoted through a real workflow instead of dying in a lab. We have a research stack behind it all, with charting, backtesting, optimization, parity tooling, AI trade debugging, and robustness validation, all feeding one pipeline.

We are making serious progress on our ML pipeline, and are building serious ML operations around the platform. Linking live production config to model metadata so what is running can be filtered, audited, and tracked properly. Backtests and live advisory can share the same ML semantics, keeping research and production aligned. On top of that, we are building ML-driven tools for price forecasting, next candle close forecasting, strategy win rate forecasting, and other higher-level predictive layers that can sit above the raw strategy pipeline.

Our Mini App is now in full alpha testing, with major improvements in usability, visual polish, and overall flow, including a soon to be deployed fully custom, AI native charting library (more on this soon). We are also improving the descriptions and transparency of the strategies, so they feel less "black box".
