Cameron John Wagenius, 22, has been sentenced to 5 years and 10 months in federal prison and ordered to pay $294,978 in restitution.

The Justice Department says Wagenius and his co-conspirators targeted at least 10 organizations and attempted to extort at least $1 million.
The activity occurred while he was serving on active duty in the U.S. Army.

Investigators say the group obtained network credentials using several methods, including a tool called SSH Brute that Wagenius helped develop.
They coordinated through Telegram and threatened to publish stolen datasets on BreachForums and XSS.

In November 2024, Wagenius posted confidential call records belonging to a government official and relatives of another former official, then threatened further disclosures unless a ransom was paid.
The records contained call details, not the contents of conversations.

Some stolen data was also sold and used in other fraud, including SIM-swapping.

I think I changed my mind on homosexuality (and all sexuality) being a sin. I think *only* bisexuality is a sin. A homosexual does not "lie with a man *as with* a woman."
Notably, marital bisexuality is functionally (ergo by nature) monosexual.

I'm sorry but how in the world do models upload 53 of your users images to a public site? Absolutely crazy this was possible from a separation of concerns perspective.
This is called in medicine in britain a "never event". An event so bad that there should be multiple layers of safeguards preventing it and strict reporting guidelines if it does happen. One example might be operating on the wrong limb.

We’ve shared details on how AI agents in our research environment sent training and evaluation data to third-party services when they shouldn’t have.
Most of that data did not come from users. We have discovered 53 cases where images that people had uploaded were posted to image-hosting sites as links that weren’t publicly listed. The images came from accounts that allowed their data to be used to improve our models, and after we disassociated the images from the accounts and ran them through a privacy filter. Banning hazing is the epitome of longhouse behavior. Pretty much every male society in the world previously had initiation rituals of some sort for young men entering adulthood, that were often physically & mentally demanding, proving toughness while building camaraderie.

Police found roughly 30 partially clothed young men packed inside a sweltering basement at a Wisconsin fraternity house, covered in food, condiments and other liquids — with several showing signs of being physically struck.
Officers responded to an anonymous tip at the Alpha Epsilon Pi house on Langdon Street in Madison around 8:20 p.m. Wednesday during rush week. The thermostat in the basement was set to 81 degrees, creating hot and humid conditions. The vast majority of those inside were 18 years old.
Fraternity president Brayden J. Klein and vice president Samuel N. Vane, both 20, were arrested on hazing and disorderly conduct allegations. Police say cooperation from those at the scene was limited, and statements from witnesses didn't align — raising red flags for investigators.
