Mary Peltola is the former Democratic congresswoman from Alaska now running [with a slight edge] for U.S. Senate against Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan.
The New York Times reviewed her texts.
After a fisheries executive posted a selfie with her, she wrote: “Fuck that retard.” Then: “Honestly. I nothing him.”
Her campaign admitted it. Said the word was inappropriate. Said she regrets it.
Former staffers told the Times more.
Four said they personally heard her use “faggot” — including about her own staff. Campaign denies that.
Aides also say she used “retarded,” blew up at people who displeased her, and shoved a male staffer in the chest in her congressional office in February 2024 after she couldn’t find a memo.
He stumbled backward. Campaign calls it an accidental bump on the anniversary of her husband’s death.
They describe staff in tears, high turnover, and a shake-up days before the primary.
The public face is hugs and “Alaska First.” The texts and the people who worked for her tell a different story.

Stanford dining took a real 2024 photo of three students at a Lunar New Year dinner — including Hispanic student Billy Ramirez — and used AI to erase him.
On campus banners he was gone. In his place: a Black woman who never existed. The other two students were slimmed down. Clothes were changed to Stanford merch. No disclosure.
Ramirez said he felt “silenced and erased” from a picture that was supposed to include him.
Stanford admits it. Their own AI policy forbids altering images of Stanford people. They did it anyway.
When the real student body isn’t the photo they want, they just generate a new one.
That’s not diversity. That’s a lie with better software.

I didn’t realize when I posted this yesterday that there were 35,429 texts between the child and the teacher — from Dec. 26, 2023, to about May 1, 2024. That’s roughly four months of the 2023–24 school year, on the order of 275–280 texts a day.
That volume is what the boy’s father found on the phone. It’s also what the judge cited at Madison Bergmann’s sentencing.
