What Candace is doing is evil. It’s also laughable. I truly believe one of the best ways to defeat evil intent is through mockery and ridicule. Charlie agreed which is why I, a comedian, was his opening act on college campuses. Everything she’s done up to this point is sinister BUT ALSO ripe for the comedic picking. Her claims and “questions” would truly be parody gold… But personally I can’t ever bring myself to do it for fear of even approaching making light of Charlie’s murder. I don’t think I’m alone in this. Good faith compels opposition to this evil lunacy but decency and respect for Charlie make it impossible to utilize the very mockery Candace deserves. So we’re left opposing this wickedness in serious tones which unfortunately implies that we take her seriously. I don’t know what to do about this. Truthfully, I’ve been wrestling with it for months and has honestly been somewhat paralyzing. But what continues to come to my mind as this sickness continues is a Thomas More quote which simply asserts “the devil… that proud spirit… cannot endure to be mocked”
