THUNDERSTRUCK 4 ⚡️
1021 people in one room in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and we love every single one of you all so freakin’ much 💛
Whether this was your first NORTH show, or your 72nd, you continue to pour your support and loyalty into this movement we call NORTH. You give this team of madly creative, insanely talented and wildly passionate wrestlers, creatives, artists, and most importantly, HUMANS, the motivation and power to keep it truckin’ on.
It wouldn’t be Thunderstruck (or Northern) without some W E A T H E R, but it didn’t stop you braving the elements, and packing the rafters.
There’s too many people to thank, here. Those who always keep me sane in the build up to this, thank you. Those who pick up the pieces my brain has misplaced, forgotten or evaporated, thank you. Those who throw everything into making the experience safe and enjoyable for the NORTH Faithful, thank you. Those who have always seen the potential in us, and will us to do better, Thank You. And, most importantly, those who care, THANK YOU.
We’re the best Pro Wrestling company in the world 💛
Bowers x
PS Apologies for the delayed post, we had a trip to A&E with the little one yesterday (he’s fine!)

Last night @NORTH_NCL achieve the remarkable feat of packing over 1,000 fans into the Walker Dome. Made even more impressive by the Tyne Bridge being closed, the Metro being off and travel chaos across the UK

How much of a fucking miserable life must you lead to be upset about this. Pathetic
'Is that a really good use of his time?'
'Raising money for a cancer charity?'
The Green Party's @floschechter brands Andy Burnham going on Gogglebox as 'ridiculous'.

And we want more! A new line with connecting Northumberland Park and Howdon with stops at Silverlink and Cobalt would be great. Please and thank you
That a metro system would be built in a northern UK city involving underground tunnels and stations is supposedly an impossible, unrealistic idea from an unserious mind.
Meanwhile, Newcastle with 13km of bored tunnels and 9 underground stations built 13 years after first plans:
ALT view into the dark of a bored circular tunnel, with clean black and white panelling in the passenger part of the platform, and judicious use of Calvert typeface
ALT view through a clean subterranean corridor to the doors of a Metro train
ALT a view down the wee platform, with clean lines, clever design and a decidedly proper look to the system
ALT a view up an escalator shaft giving an idea of the depth of the station - again, this is a proper underground station built in the heart of mining territory just like Leeds

A good meeting with UK Prime Minister @AndyBurnham in London. We value our partnership and continue working together for security.
I briefed Andy in detail on Russian attacks against our cities, our people, and critical infrastructure. Wave after wave of drone attacks throughout the day and night today. Russia launched 124 drones overnight alone, and another 145 during the day. And right now, there are still more than 40 “shaheds” in our skies. They attack energy infrastructure, logistics, and railways. We managed to shoot down a significant number of the drones, but some got through. In terms of scale, this is one of the largest attacks. It is clear that the Russians are trying to take advantage of the problems with Starlink in Ukraine, as our interceptor drones depend on this connection among other things.
That is why it is especially important right now to strengthen our air defenses and provide Ukraine with everything it needs to protect lives. Today, a decision was made to accelerate deliveries of British-made air defense systems to Ukraine to counter jet-powered “shaheds.” And I am very grateful for this timely and much-needed assistance. I thank Andy, the people of the United Kingdom, the government, and His Majesty for their solidarity and support for our country during this brutal Russian war.

Comparing Trump to Chamberlain is unfair… to Chamberlain
Chamberlain was wrong & became the symbol of appeasement towards Hitler. But he genuinely wanted peace, having lived through the horrors of WWI
Chamberlain was a misguided idealist.
Trump is a corrupt, warmongering crook
This weekend, Trump announced Ukraine and Russia agreed to an “energy ceasefire,” which has turned out to be completely false. Neither side agreed to anything, and Russia attacked Ukraine’s energy infrastructure again.
He’s making up fake ceasefires because he wants Ukraine to stop striking Russian oil refineries. Those strikes have been having a real impact in the war, and stopping them is a gift to Putin. It’s important to understand that any shortage of diesel fuel is because of Trump’s decision to go to war with Iran without understanding that they would shut down the Strait of Hormuz, which is perhaps one of the biggest geopolitical blunders in modern history. Instead of admitting that and trying to solve the problem he created, Trump is trying to put the blame on a country that’s literally fighting for its survival against Russia.
Siding with Putin and Russia seems to be a mainstay of this presidency. Even his supporters are piling on with Elon Musk tweeting that Zelenskyy has gone “too far.” Whose side are they on?
Regardless, the Ukrainians are making progress, and if things continue to go well, it’s a real possibility that Putin could be pressured to accept a deal that maintains Ukrainian sovereignty. Anyone who supports the Russians in this conflict will find themselves on the wrong side of history and the wrong side of America’s interests. Trump, Elon, etc. should try to avoid being this century’s Neville Chamberlain.

Accents: Northumberland ⏳️
The old Northumberland accent and its wider Northumbrian dialect originate from the early medieval Anglian speech brought to northern Britain by Germanic settlers in the 5th and 6th centuries.
Northumberland's geographical position and its troublesome border history with Scotland kept its rural speech isolated, preserving conservative Germanic and Old English pronunciations that faded elsewhere.

Pro wrestling is so special. The way you can get lost in a match or a character can be so fun. There’s nothing like it. But experiencing that magic and escape, while at the same time honoring a loved one, is truly powerful.

My ticket from the first show I ever saw Pac wrestle at in 2006.
PAC is the most impactful and influential wrestler to come out of North East England since the 1930s and possibly ever. His passing is a huge loss to the industry and terrible loss for his family, friends and fans. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cmn0…
