Help Save Gbemi – Support David Lekan Otegbade's Recovery On a Saturday morning that changed everything, David Lekan Otegbade, a student of Electrical/Electronics Engineering, OAU, and popularly known as Gbemi — was on his way to his IT placement when a speeding car, moving at about 120km/h, hit him while he waited to cross the road. He was rushed to the hospital and slipped into a coma for two months. Scans revealed severe head trauma from the impact, requiring emergency brain surgery. He also lost his left kneecap and suffered a fracture in his left hand. As a result of the accident, he now experiences seizures. It's been over three months, and Gbemi is thankfully recovering — but he's not fully well yet, and the hospital bills have drained what funds were available. There's pressure to discharge him before he's fully stable, simply because the money isn't there to keep his care going. is care going. This is where we need you. But we are now taking MoneyMoves beyond the consumer app. We are now moving to the next phase and have started building our B2B2C infrastructure, including APIs and payment rails that businesses can integrate into their own products and workflows. @movement_xyz focus on fast, low-cost stablecoin settlement for emerging markets makes this an exciting ecosystem for us to build in. With native USDCx, near-zero transaction costs and fast-finality settlement, the network is being built around the same problem we are trying to solve: making digital dollars move efficiently in the real world. About a year ago, I started building a travel intelligence platform. Over the past year, I've been gathering and structuring data from Reddit, Wikivoyage, official travel advisories, and other public sources. Today, that data powers both a web app and an MCP server, so AI assistants like Claude can retrieve travel intelligence directly. Still early, but I'm really enjoying building this and hoping to launch soon.
