Basing on the complaint of a Congress worker, male police officials went to Rekha’s house late last night and gave her a notice. Rekha is not just a journalist, she is a mother of a six month old baby and a three year old son. While she left the toddler home, she had to take the baby along to feed. But apparently, she wasn’t allowed to feed the baby & even now the mother and the baby are at the Cybercrimes Police Station, Basheerbagh. From what the family tells me, she is being pressured to give her phone and the password of her YouTube channel 🤷🏻‍♀️ Yes! He didn’t come out. Four others went down after him to pull him out. All five collapsed, apparently from toxic gas trapped inside. They were eventually rescued and rushed to hospital. Four were declared dead. The fifth, Rudraksh, survived and is under treatment. The deceased have been identified as Manu Katare, Vishu Sharma, Aryan Pandey and Devansh Sharma, aged roughly 16 to 20. About 100 students live at the gurukul, which is run by Ashish Kumar Sharma who fled from the premises after the incident.

Sudhakar is a small time tea vendor near Balkonda bus stand and he has been facing harrassment from the police for a while now, only because he keeps his shop open beyond 10pm. Police slapped three cases for selling chai beyond 10pm and he was frequently called to the police station on the pretext of investigation and questioning. He was called yesterday also and was asked to attend court & pay penalties. This was the fourth penalty on him. In a statement recorded yesterday at the hospital, Sudhakar detailed out how SI Tirupathi mentally tortured him and drove him to take this extreme step. After Sudhakar’s death today, Nizamabad CP Sai Chaitanya said police did nothing wrong in this case and were only doing their job 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

This could be a suicidal step for your own party too. Just to please a handful of blackmailing auto drivers, you risk going against lakhs of gig workers and young people. Unlike typical taxi or auto drivers, many Rapido riders have other jobs and may not want to openly display that they are doing gig work. Please reconsider this idea.
