Orlando Magic, RIP FSU Football 1976-2016

Orlando, FL
After all that Miami is just another three loss team who didn’t even win their conference.

Any time credentialed media talk about Norvell’s buyout like it’s gonna cost > 100m tomorrow to get rid of him, they’re shoveling shit, and you have to wonder why and for whom.

“It’s possible to recognize FSU is in a bad place and change is necessary and also be happy when they win.” Yeah it’s called cognitive dissonance and it can take years off your life.

You balance the budget by giving the people who write checks a reason to write bigger ones.
From what I keep hearing, Florida State's administration cares far more about balancing the budget than fixing the football program to the standard set by Bobby Bowden and Jimbo Fisher. I expect Norvell to be back in Tallahassee for 2027, barring a major shift. 🤑🤑🤑

Nobody is waiting for 2030.
espn.com/college-sports/stor… Code words: WE ARE FUCKED. Florida State will bolt as soon as it becomes financially viable. That means as soon as June 2030, the Seminoles can bolt and retain their media rights. Expect North Carolina, Clemson, and Miami to potentially do the same. But you can bet your sweet ass FSU is as good as gone by 2030. GO NOLES.

If like me you feel lobotomized watching FSU football anymore, this is why.
I know the best thing for FSU’s future is to hit a hard reset that involves moving on from Mike. I also know the best chance of that happening is if this team stacks L’s over the next two months. That said, I will never be able to bring myself to root for any L, ever.

I suddenly understand why USF fans are questioning this hire.

I’m sure ESPN just wants to lose money and drive ratings down. Probably to upset you, Clay.
ESPN is putting the five best SEC games: Florida at Texas & Miss State at LSU at 11 am ct & Bama-UT, Mizzou-Ole Miss & Auburn-Georgia all at 330 et to keep top SEC teams from competing with Notre Dame-BYU & FSU-Miami. SEC is PISSED! As they should be.

I look back at how excited I was to (barely) win the Cheez-It Bowl over (6-6) Oklahoma and just barely pull off a 10 win season and I’m ashamed. When we went 10-3 in 2016 and won an Orange Bowl I was disappointed.

Most refreshing and vital thing @strugglemade105 said: when he played, one loss was unacceptable at FSU. The admin and a whole lot of fans seem to have forgotten the standard.

If this is true I don’t care if Norvell goes 10-2 or better, he gotta go.

What if Norvell strings together an impressive enough season to attract another job offer? All it takes is one desperate AD.

Based on seven years of the Mike Norvell Experience I anticipate a huge bounce back win for Louisville at home, and a lot of Mike looking confused and sad on the sidelines.

I don’t think FSU has any hope of competing for the ACC title or making the CFP. But with one ACC loss in October, that should be the expectation. We all know the reason why it is not.

I love these takes. Who is “yall” and to whom would they stick up for these ACC teams?
The reason why this conference sucks is because yall won’t stick up for teams that deserve to be top 25. PROMOTE YOUR TEAMS MORE

I’m sure it’s just a coincidence that sports gambling has become an everyday thing we keep in our pockets and weird stuff keeps happening that kinda seems like refs fixing games.

Jaguars (-5.5) up 12 and just made what should’ve been a game ending stop, and refs throw a flag for taunting to keep the Bengals driving.
