BF’s Dad caught me fingèring, later made me his secret cùmdùmp. Eight months with Ryan long enough that his family treated me like I belonged. Ryan’s dad is David. Forty-four. Divorced. Ryan’s mom left when Ryan was twelve, vanished into some midlife fantasy with a trainer, and David raised his son alone. Two jobs. Little League coach. Steady hands and a quiet kind of strength that never asked for credit. And yes by the way I'm Nineteen. College sophomore, home for the summer David is six-two, broad through the shoulders, forearms carved from years of actual work. Salt-and-pepper hair kept short. Gray eyes that crinkle when he smiles and go dark when he doesn’t. A jaw that looks like it was cut from stone. He comes home from his construction company coated in sawdust and sweat, work shirt stretched across his chest, jeans riding low on his hips. Ryan has the same eyes and jaw, but softer, unfinished. David is the finished product thick, solid, fully grown. I noticed him the first night I slept over. Not in a cute way. In a way that made my stomach drop and my cùnt clench. He looked at me a second too long. Eyes tracing the line of my throat, the curve of my aśs when I bent to pick something up. He’d invent reasons to be near me“just grabbing water,” “just checking if you kids need anything” and when he said my name it came out low, rough, like he was tasting it. Ryan never saw it. Ryan was busy with his phone, his games, being twenty and half-asleep to the world. I didn’t know what to do with the heat that built every time David’s voice dropped or his gaze lingered. So I started toùching myself in his house.

For nineteen years, my husband paid the utility bills by hand. He kept every stub in the bottom drawer of his desk, stacked by month, with a rubber band around each year. He wouldn't let me file them. He said he didn't trust a bill until he'd stamped it paid himself. I believed him. He was a tax preparer, and I teased him that he'd outlive the paperwork. I dusted the desktop and never opened the drawer. Then a pipe burst in the ceiling over his study. Water ran down the wall and soaked the desk. I knelt on the wet rug and pulled the stack out to save it. Between the 2006 bills lay a document on heavy paper with a notary's raised seal. It gave full medical decision-making rights over me to a woman named Ruth Aldana, director of a nursing home twelve hundred miles away. I had never heard her name...

My coworker got written up today for taking a 31 minute lunch instead of 30. Boss called a team meeting to "make an example of her." She stood up and said: "My mom is in chemo. I was on the phone with her nurse. It went 1 minute over. I clocked it. I wasn't hiding it." Boss said: "Rules are rules." She took off her badge, set it on the table and said: "Then find someone who will follow them when their mom is dying. I won't." She walked out. Half of us were crying. He just stood there.

My restaurant bill was $74, but the receipt they handed me showed I had ordered a $31 steak I had never touched. I thought the server had mixed up my table with someone else’s. Then she looked at the receipt and said, “No, this one is definitely yours.” I had ordered chicken, fries, and a soda. The total should have been around $43. The server showed me the receipt again. My name was printed at the top, my table number was correct, and underneath my actual order was the steak. I asked, “How could I have ordered something I never received?” She said, “Maybe it was entered by mistake.”

I woke up to a voicemail from my own mother. She sounded scared. “Call me as soon as you hear this. Don't go downstairs.” I called her immediately. She answered, confused. “What are you talking about?” I played the voicemail back to her. She went silent. Then she said, “I didn't leave you that message.” I checked the timestamp. 4:12 a.m. She'd been asleep at her house all night. Then I heard three knocks on my bedroom door.

Female (21) I am a nurse and got fvćk by a Doctor. Working in the hospital can be very stressful. Fighting for a patients life is not always easy to work with. We all try to play cool but most of us get really emotional after some tragic moments. We had a long Operation that made all of us frustrated but in the end all went well. because the operation took so long the whole group made a big break to calm down and focus again.

I left a $20 tip on a $104.63 dinner bill. Ten minutes later, the server came back n said, “You made a mistake on the tip.” I looked at the receipt, I hadn't. She pointed at the $20. “You meant to leave more, right?” I thought she was joking. “No. That's what I intended.” She told me the restaurant's servers usually get closer to 20%, n that my tip was only about 19%. I said, “I understand. That's what I chose to leave.” She stood there for a moment n said, “After everything I did for your table?” That's when I got uncomfortable. She had been perfectly polite throughout dinner. The food came out on......

time. Our drinks were refilled. Nothing went wrong. But I wasn't prepared for the tip to become a conversation. I told her I wasn't changing it. She walked away visibly upset. A few minutes later, the manager came to our table and apologized. He said employees weren't supposed to question customers about their tips.

Then he asked if I wanted to keep the $20 tip or have him remove it and let me decide again. I told him to leave it. Not because I suddenly thought I'd tipped too much. Because once a tip becomes something an employee feels entitled to negotiate, I don't think the percentage is the real issue anymore. If a customer leaves 19% instead of 20%, should a server ever be allowed to question it or is the tip completely the customer's decision?

HR: “I heard you’re resigning.” Employee: “That’s right.” HR: “Can I ask what led to your decision?” Employee: “Because I’m tired of being rewarded with more work and punished with less recognition.” HR: “What happened?” Employee: “Yesterday was the last straw.” HR: “Tell me.” Employee: “We had a major client presentation. I spent two weeks building the proposal, running the numbers, preparing the slides, and fixing every issue my manager sent back.” HR: “And?” Employee: “My coworker presented it.” HR: “Did your manager know you created it?” Employee: “He watched me work on it.” HR: “Did you ask why she was presenting?” Employee: “Yes.” HR: “What did he say?” Employee: “He said, ‘It’ll be good exposure for you.’” HR: “And what happened after the presentation?” Employee: “The client loved it.” HR: “And your manager?” Employee: “He praised my coworker for ‘taking ownership.’” HR: “What did you get?”

My son stopped eating dinner with us a few weeks after he turned 18. Not because he was busy. Because every time my wife saw him, she'd remind him rent was due. $250 a month. He worked after school at a tire shop. She collected cash. No exceptions. I told her she was being hard on him. She said, "He's an adult until the bill shows up." For a year, the argument never changed. He paid. She took the money. He stopped hanging around the house. When he got accepted to a college across the country, I figured she'd finally admit the whole thing had just been tough-love parenting.

For nine years, my wife kept a landline beside my side of the bed. Beige, curly cord, plugged into the wall though we both carried cell phones. She never let me touch the old thermostat on that wall either. It worked fine, she said, and the bedroom stayed one temperature. She said the landline was for storms, in case the towers went down. I believed her. Her mother's house had burned in an ice storm, and I'd have believed anything about a fire. I stepped around the cord every night. Then the thermostat died in January. I took the cover off with a screwdriver and traced the wires into the drywall. Behind a patched square, taped to a stud, sat an analog cassette recorder wired into the phone line. A timer was clipped to its cord, set to click on at 2:00 AM sharp...
