Its bitcoin holdings stayed at 840,447 BTC. The firm set up a $1.59 billion USD Cash pool and repurchased $136.4 million of STRC. $MSTR $STRC 2) @coinbase now issues tokenized US stocks on Base. Apple, Nvidia, Meta and Alphabet went live on Monday. The tokens fall under ADGM rules, and Alpaca holds the shares. Only eligible investors outside the US can buy them. $COIN 3) Arcus launched pTokens on Robinhood Chain. Each one holds a share of a perps account at a set market and leverage. Those tokens transfer like any other ERC-20. The team once behind dYdX built Arcus, working with Robinhood Crypto. $HOOD 4) LayerZero announced ATLAS, a headless exchange engine. It serves crypto and tokenized markets. The engine folds matching, clearing, settlement and risk into one system. Industry Catch-Up | August 20, 2026 $BTC at ~$72K. $ETH at ~$2.3K. 1) Trump spoke at a White House event on Wednesday. He said he understands CFTC Chairman Michael Selig is working to bring Hyperliquid into the US. He said the work aims to do that in a fully compliant and legal way. Its $HYPE token rose 11% that day, CoinDesk reported. Trump also urged Congress to pass the CLARITY Act. Polymarket odds on it passing this year sat near 20%. 2) @Metaplanet said on Tuesday it will put 2,100 bitcoin and $2.5 million into Nasdaq-listed Super League. It is buying new shares, not existing ones. That would leave it with about 96% of the company. The bitcoin is about 4.9% of the 43,000 it holds, Metaplanet said. Super League shares rose as much as 80% before easing to about 50%. It will be renamed Superplanet and trade as SUPA, with closing set for the fourth quarter. 3) @ethena and FalconX announced a lending facility of up to $1 billion on Wednesday. It draws on the assets that back the USDe stablecoin. FalconX writes the loans and manages the collateral. Borrowers post more than they take. The collateral sits with outside custodians. Ethena said the aim is yield outside the basis trade. Returns there fall when perp funding rates weaken. 4) The SEC proposed new crypto rules on Tuesday, called Regulation Crypto Assets. Some token sales could skip full SEC registration. One route allows up to $5 million over four years. The other allows up to $75 million a year. A token could also stop counting as a security if the issuer meets set conditions. State rules would not apply to these sales. Comments run for 60 days once it is published. New York's attorney general sued in July, seeking a nationwide halt to its event contracts and damages above $36 billion. Chairman Michael Selig said Congress did not intend for derivatives exchanges to be regulated under a patchwork of state gaming laws. 2) Strategy sold 1,690 bitcoin from August 3 to August 9, leaving holdings at 840,447 BTC. Its 8-K shows $108.6 million in proceeds went to buy back STRC shares. A separate MSTR stock sale raised $653.1 million net and lifted the USD Reserve to $4.65 billion. 3) Coinbase received a Financial Services Permission from ADGM's FSRA in Abu Dhabi.
