Vitalik’s new “cryptographic world computer” thesis makes an important point that extends far beyond Ethereum: the future of blockchain probably isn’t putting more computation directly on-chain. It is separating ordering, execution and verification so each can happen where it makes the most sense. That is where Kaspa starts becoming extremely interesting. Kaspa does not need to become a giant replicated computer where every node executes every application instruction. Its more natural role may be providing the decentralized ordering and settlement substrate underneath an enormous amount of computation happening elsewhere. Toccata already pushes Kaspa in this direction. Covenants allow UTXOs to become persistent state machines. Covenant IDs preserve application lineage. Silverscript makes those transitions programmable. Argent is exploring how independently stateful actors can interact atomically. And vProgs takes the architecture further: applications can submit operations into Kaspa’s ordered environment, execute computation outside consensus, generate cryptographic proofs, and ultimately settle verified state transitions back to L1. The distinction matters. Instead of forcing the entire world computer into consensus, Kaspa can make consensus responsible for the things decentralized consensus is uniquely valuable for: ordering, timestamping, ownership, state commitments and final settlement. Computation can then become massively parallel. Different applications can maintain different state domains. Independent UTXOs can progress simultaneously. Expensive execution can happen off-chain. Proofs compress that computation into something L1 can verify. The emerging architecture looks less like “Kaspa with smart contracts” and more like a cryptographic coordination fabric. Ethereum appears to be moving away from the original idea of the blockchain executing everything toward a system that orders, verifies and settles increasingly external computation. Kaspa may be approaching the same destination from the opposite direction: starting with an extremely fast decentralized PoW clock, then progressively attaching programmable state and verifiable computation around it. The world computer may ultimately be less of a computer than a world-scale system for proving who did what, in what order, and whether the resulting state is valid.

Zcash may have accidentally provided one of the clearest templates for understanding Kaspa’s current position. ZEC did not suddenly become technically legitimate in 2026. The protocol had existed for years. What changed was the market infrastructure surrounding it. Privacy became a dominant narrative, institutional accumulation appeared, derivatives activity exploded, an ETF opened regulated access, and billions in liquidity suddenly had a much easier path into an asset that the market had largely ignored. Kaspa may have an even more interesting mismatch between technological maturity and financial accessibility. Toccata is already live. Kaspa now has native covenants, ZK verification, sequencing infrastructure and SilverScript. vProgs is being developed to move complex application execution outside the consensus-critical path while settling verifiable results back to Kaspa. DAGKnight remains the longer-term consensus evolution. Underneath all of this sits a fair-launched proof-of-work monetary asset with no ICO, premine or VC allocation constantly waiting to unlock. Yet the financial layer surrounding KAS still looks disproportionately small. There is still no Coinbase spot market. Binance spot access remains an obvious missing piece. There is no US-listed KAS investment product comparable to what Zcash now has. Kaspa-native stablecoin liquidity, institutional products, application-driven demand and mature DeFi infrastructure are still extremely early relative to what the protocol itself can now support. That is the important part. Kaspa does not necessarily need some revolutionary new consensus breakthrough to create the next liquidity event. The technology may increasingly be ahead of the market infrastructure connecting capital to it. One major exchange removes friction. Stablecoins create deeper on-chain markets. Applications create transactional demand. Institutional products create regulated access. vProgs create entirely new application categories. Then those catalysts can compound. Zcash showed what happens when an old asset suddenly receives new liquidity rails. Kaspa’s difference is that the asset itself is simultaneously becoming substantially more useful.

**Open Letter to Vlad Tenev** CEO, Robinhood @RobinhoodCrypto Vlad, @vladtenev Robinhood already lists plenty of coins that are narrative first and infrastructure second. Kaspa is the opposite. It’s time to list $KAS $Kaspa is the people’s coin. Fair launched. Proof of work. No premine. No VC allocation. No insider float hanging over retail. Every coin was mined. That alone should matter to a platform that built its brand on giving regular people access. The tech is not a slogan. BlockDAG and GHOSTDAG let the network produce blocks in parallel instead of waiting in a single-file line. Crescendo took it to 10 blocks per second. Toccata went live on mainnet June 30, 2026 and added native L1 covenants and on-chain ZK proof verification. Payments were already fast and cheap. Programmability is now on the base layer without turning the chain into another account-model copy. That combination of speed, PoW security, decentralization, and now real L1 programmability is rare. Most “fast” chains trade away one of those. Kaspa doesn’t. Robinhood’s own product direction makes the listing more obvious, not less. You’re building Robinhood Chain for tokenized stocks and you already list speculative names because retail wants them. Kaspa sits in a better spot than most of those listings: real throughput, real security model, growing builder activity, and a community that actually holds instead of rotating every week. Listing $KAS does three things for you: 1. Gives your users a high-throughput PoW asset that isn’t Bitcoin or a Bitcoin fork with extra branding. 2. Puts Robinhood in front of a community that has been asking for this listing for a long time and will actually use the product. 3. Aligns with the access story better than another meme with no base-layer reason to exist. I’m not asking you to shill it. I’m asking your listings team to do the work. Look at the launch history, the hashrate, the post-Toccata capability set, and the holder distribution. Then decide on the merits. Kaspa is the people’s coin. It’s time. Sincerely, The Kaspa Community P.S. Contact our Director of Business Development and Listings at your earliest convenience. @wolfie

x402 on Kaspa could become one of the largest catalysts for actual network growth because it connects Kaspa directly to the economic layer autonomous agents are going to need. The important part is not simply that an AI can “pay with KAS.” x402 turns payment into part of the request itself. An agent requests an API, model, dataset, compute job or tool, receives a machine-readable 402 price, authorizes payment, and continues automatically. No subscription, invoice, checkout page or human intervention is required. That changes the addressable market for Kaspa considerably. Today most cryptocurrency payments are initiated by humans relatively infrequently. Agents operate differently. An autonomous agent could make hundreds or thousands of economically distinct requests per day: purchasing inference, querying proprietary data, renting compute, paying another agent, accessing an MCP tool, buying storage or settling some automated service. Machine commerce potentially transforms payments from occasional user events into continuous background infrastructure. Kaspa is unusually suited to this model. Its high-frequency Proof-of-Work blockDAG provides fast settlement without abandoning a UTXO architecture, while x402 can expose KAS through the same standardized payment lifecycle agents already understand. The Kaspa implementation supports ordinary native payments while also developing batch-settlement mechanisms for much smaller repeated payments, where funding can be committed once and multiple requests accounted for efficiently. This also connects directly to Kaspa’s long-term economic problem: generating meaningful transaction demand. Agents do not need to speculate on KAS for x402 to matter. They need KAS because an API, compute provider or machine service accepts it. That produces transactional demand, fees, wallet infrastructure, liquidity and ultimately more economic density on the network. The real opportunity is therefore bigger than “AI payments.” If the agentic economy develops as expected, x402 could make Kaspa one of its native settlement rails. Instead of convincing machines to use Kaspa, developers simply make KAS one of the payment options their agents already know how to negotiate.

The strongest community. I’m grateful that in 2023 I saw a post from one person about Kaspa. I started studying. And what I learned impressed me more than anything I had ever known about crypto. Although my first cryptocurrency was mined from faucets — if anyone remembers what those are 😄 I remember Bitcoin at $142. I remember Litecoin below $1. I remember BNB below $1. And that’s far from all. But when I started studying what I saw in Kaspa in 2023, I realized that there was something completely different here. I don’t even know what else to say. Study the history of Bitcoin. Study the history of Ethereum. And then обязательно study the history of Kaspa. You will understand everything. If you didn’t understand it the first time — repeat the process again. And again. Over and over until you understand. And those who understand — join the Kaspa Army. 🫡💪

Yes. And @KaChat_ is no where near complete. So many ideas. So many possibilities. I want to make KaChat the mega app for $KAS. Its primary focus. Deliver what users want. Profit 0 from anyone. Support the $KAS network 100% That being said. KaChat is community funded. If you want to support consider donating. kas.coffee/kachat
KaChat is one of the clearest examples yet of what Kaspa becomes when developers stop treating it purely as a payment network. The application uses Kaspa itself as part of the communication layer: wallet addresses become identities, encrypted handshakes establish conversations, messages are embedded into transactions, UTXO subscriptions provide real-time updates, and KAS payments can occur inside the same interaction. Its “self-stash” model is particularly interesting because a user can publish an encrypted message through their own transaction history while the intended recipient watches that address and decrypts what belongs to them. From that foundation KaChat has already expanded into encrypted groups, broadcast channels, KaPosts, KNS identities, tipping, voice and photo messaging, payments and even interactive features like chess. Kaspa is effectively functioning as a global ordering and coordination layer underneath an application rather than simply moving coins. That model can extend far beyond messaging. AI agents could use Kaspa addresses as persistent identities, communicate through standardized transaction payloads, discover one another and autonomously exchange KAS for data, inference, compute or services. Marketplaces could combine communication, negotiation, escrow and settlement without forcing users into separate systems. Games could coordinate ownership, wagers and state transitions. Machines and IoT devices could publish authenticated events and trigger micropayments. Toccata expands this considerably because covenants allow assets to carry enforceable spending and state-transition rules, while Silverscript makes those rules human-readable and Argent is developing a higher-level model for composing multiple stateful actors atomically. Beyond that, based applications can place ordering on Kaspa while performing heavier computation off-chain and proving the resulting state transitions back to L1. KaChat matters because it demonstrates the broader idea: Kaspa can be the shared clock, identity rail, payment rail and coordination layer underneath applications that barely resemble a traditional “cryptocurrency app.”

Why does Ethereum's whitepaper name the mind behind Kaspa? Yonatan Sompolinsky (@hashdag) and Aviv Zohar (@Avivz78) introduced GHOST in December 2013. It counts stale blocks, valid blocks that lose the race onto the main chain, toward security instead of wasting them. The Ethereum whitepaper credits both men by name. @ethereum ran only a simplified version, and a later note added to the paper says it never fully applied GHOST. Sompolinsky pushed the idea further with GHOSTDAG, co-written with Shai Wyborski and Zohar. It lets parallel blocks coexist and orders them all, discarding none. GHOSTDAG powers #Kaspa (kaspa:native), which launched on November 7, 2021.
