If you insist. A list of some of the finest food the city has to offer, not all of it is bougie, it's just good. A couple of disclaimers: This isn't even close to exhaustive, there's a ton of food in this city and a lot of it I have not tried. Obviously food is subjective, just because I like it, doesn't mean you will and vice versa. This list only contains things I have found "above average to god tier" Not all found in the last year, but Kevin (and often Bruce) McCurdy approved. <Vietnamese> Thanh Thanh Oriental Noodle House, my king of Vietnamese and fusion cooking. (101 St and 107 Ave) Mini Mango (South of Ellerslie at 91st) Mai Mai Viet Street Kitchen (23rd ave and 142nd St) Saigon Taste (Stony Plain and 114 st ish) Co Do Hue (several locations) Da Kao Bistro (170 St and 95 Ave) Dang Good (118 Ave and just west of St. Albert Trail) Pho Hoan Pastuer is always an ok fallback. Halong bay makes this list because their Pho Sate is almost as good as Thanh Thanh's. I could make my own catagory for Bahn Mi, but Thi Thi's in Calgary is king. Mini Mango has lethal Bahn Mi as well. I have a massive soft spot for Viet food and I often have trouble branching out to other ethnicities that I should pay more attention to (Thai for example) as a result. <Thai> (not as much experience here many places to go check out) Siam Thai (several locations, though I hit is at 137th ave and St. Albert Tr.). Their Tom Yum is fabulous. Songkran Thai (St. Albert Tr and Sturgeon Rd, St. Albert) <Chinese> Good luck (as in good luck finding good chinese, there's a ton of "mid" in this catagory.) One that comes to mind is Lingnan, though I haven't been in years. <Ramen> Kazoku (165 st and 105 Ave) Menya Mori (124 st and 102 Ave) Tokiwa (Stony Plain Rd and 118 st or so, Brewery District) <Pizza> Pizza Garage (St. Albert, expensive but worth) <Burgers> Jack's Burger Shack (2 locations, though I've only been to the St. Albert location) JOEY actually makes a mean cheese burger CRAFT Beer Market Shiddy's (99th and just off whyte) Rockin Robyn's (166St. and 109 Ave) This could go in about 5 catagories, but the Betty White is a ludicrously good burger. <Fried Chicken> Seoul Fried Chicken (Multiple locations, OG Whyte and 104 St) HM to Northern Chicken (RIP) <Donairs> Swiss Donair (the "Xerxes, God King" of Donairs) Donair Station (172nd st and 95th ave) Simon King (91st St and 51st Ave) Simply Donair (both locations) DK Donair Factory and Restaurant (these are NOT Halifax donair, this is German Doner Kebab) (St. Albert) <Shawarma> Jerusalem (if you want an actual wrap, their Fattoush is .... not good) Al Salam Pita Bakery (their Fattoush is incredible, and they have better platters IMO) <Sit down pub/bar/etc> Local (their Dragon Chicken is lit AF). Leopold's Tavern (Whyte and Gateway) Campio Brewing (109 St, South of Stony Plain Rd.) <Italian> Amore Bistro (108 st and 106 Ave) San Remo Italian Bistro (St. Albert) Nello's (St. Albert) <Sandwiches> Pals (Whyte Ave) D'Amore Italian Deli (127th St, and about 129th Ave) Mercato Donnas (if oversized sandwiches are your vibe) (Boonies, Winterburn) <Breakfast> Hap's (Stony Plain Rd and about 163rd st.) Hathaway's Diner (2 locations) Socrates (St. Albert) <Greek> Koutouki Taverna Little Village <Other> Taste of Ukraine I am sure there's a million places I'm missing, forgot about, haven't been to, etc.

Pens clearly have a surplus of forwards. That said, moving on from Filip Hallander seems excessive - arguably far too excessive #LetsGoPens
TRADE 🔄 The #Oilers have acquired forward Filip Hallander from the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for defenceman Spencer Stastney.

Vinny is one of my favorite now-departed Oilers. He wasn't without his flaws but he was always improving, showed heart always and was an even better dude off the ice then he was on. He is the poster-child for underdog, and I will always cheer for an underdog.
Owen Michaels and Vincent Desharnais are two great examples that remind us development isn't linear. Just because you're not playing big minutes in the NHL by 22 doesn't mean your career is over. Desharnais made his debut at 26, is now 30, is averaging 18:20 TOI, and is on WSH's second pair. Michaels has only played three NHL games but has impressed for an undrafted 24-year-old. We'll see where his career goes, but he's definitely making a name for himself.

Sid's curiousity and passion is a throwback to the days when a lot of younger Oilers fans had questions about the why and how. The difference is he has the resources to come to conclusions and solutions much, much quicker

So Lineblender uses @benchrates for its data source, giving it top of class analytics for 5v5. Really appreciative of their partnership (and @PuckPedia too!), it wouldn't be possible without them.
All Situation GF vs xGF is 0.7621 All Situation GA vs xGA is 0.7364 5-on-5 GF vs xGF is 0.7158 5-on-5 GA vs xGA is 0.7064 So Benchrates xG model seems to have a strong correlation with actual G over the past 3 seasons, just slightly below MoneyPuck in All and top at 5-on-5

Good insight from Derrick here. I've asked him to verify the data provider I use for lineblender as well, as I'd be interested to see where it falls (@benchrates)
Team Level Data The Pearson Correlation Coefficient (R-values) comparing actual Goals versus Expected Goals over the past 3 NHL seasons 2023-24 through 2025-26 Overall all five models are better at predicting offensive output, they are not that great at defensive data.

A week or so ago I casually looked at the different fancystats sites to try to figure out whose Expected Goals model is best, but I didn't save the spreadsheets, so now I am trying to be more ambitious looking at all situation and 5-on-5, team and goalie and F and D separately...

This is my assessment as well, he's in better physical shape then he's been in years and it's visible.
I think Walman struggles with confidence and focus. Skating, size, passing and shot are all there. He's healthy this year so there's no excuses
