I feel like one of the main reasons is that Ichigo is so different from your usual Shonen protagonist.
There is a reason Naruto and Luffy have so many similarities, the easy going attitude and clearly defined goal. It just connects better with a younger audience.

But SEGA saying it includes everything is even dumber, so you are forgiven.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds fans accuse SEGA of breaking its Deluxe Edition promise after paid Final Fantasy VII DLC was revealed.
SEGA said the Deluxe Edition included “all future paid downloadable content,” but players must now pay extra for Season 2 content with Final Fantasy VII, Godzilla, and Evangelion crossovers.

Some fans feel misled after paying extra for the Deluxe Edition, which originally cost around $90 in the US.
