Why is your Web3 application getting rejected ?
it’s getting rejected because it looks like everyone else’s.
a recruiter or project contributor has no reason to remember you.
if you want your next application to be taken seriously, fix only these:
Applying without research
spend a few minutes understanding the project before submitting.
check their x, website, docs and community.
know what they are building, what they are trying to improve, and where you can actually contribute.
Applying with only your x profile
your follower count is not your portfolio.
show actual work.
threads, designs, videos, research, articles, campaigns, community work, github contributions or anything relevant to the role.
one strong and relevant example is more useful than ten unrelated links.
Using AI to write the entire application
using ai for research, structure or proofreading is fine.
submitting something that could have been written for any project is the problem.
reviewers read hundreds of applications. generic language becomes obvious quickly.
use your own experience, opinions and examples.
Saying what they want to hear
be honest about your motivation.
maybe you want experience. maybe you want to earn. maybe you genuinely like the product. maybe you want to build relationships in the ecosystem.
there is nothing wrong with being honest.
what matters is whether your application shows that you can actually contribute.
thinking no experience, means no chance
if you have never worked with a web3 project, create evidence yourself.
write a research thread.
analyse their product.
create a content concept.
redesign something.
find a problem and propose a solution.
build something small.
instead of saying i have no experience, show them what you can do.
Making the reviewer work
your portfolio should be easy to understand quickly.
put your strongest and most relevant work first.
use a simple portfolio, notion page, personal website, github or another organised format.
do not make someone search through 20 links to find your best work.
Not reading the application (most important)
read the requirements before asking questions.
if compensation, responsibilities, deadlines or onboarding information are already explained, show that you actually read them.
small details like this can tell a reviewer a lot about how you will work later.
Trying too hard to sound professional
you don’t need complicated english.
you need clear english.
write like a real person who understands the project and knows what they can contribute.
before submitting, ask yourself:
did i research the project?
did i show relevant work?
did i explain how i can help?
does this sound like me?
can the reviewer verify my work quickly?
did i actually follow the application requirements?
web3 hiring is totally competitive.
you don’t need to be the most popular person applying.
save this before your next web3 application🫡❤️
