𝗝𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱’𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗚𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 We are pleased to share that Jharkhand is now part of the @UNESCO _IIBY global collection of remarkable books for young readers in Indigenous and endangered languages. “रिमिल आर चासा होड़ / ʀɪᴍɪʟ ᴀᴀʀ ᴄʜᴀꜱʜᴀ ʜᴏᴅᴏ / ᴛʜᴇ ᴄʟᴏᴜᴅ ᴀɴᴅ ᴛʜᴇ ꜰᴀʀᴍᴇʀ”, a Santhali story created by children from Jharkhand with the support of @LLF_edu has been selected for this prestigious collection. Curated by @UNESCO and the IBBY - International Board on Books for Young People, the collection features nearly 170 remarkable books in 150+ Indigenous and endangered languages, selected from 500+ submissions worldwide. The recognition highlights the role of children’s literature in keeping languages, cultures and stories alive. This achievement is a celebration of Jharkhand’s young storytellers—showing that language revitalisation begins when children have the opportunity and confidence to tell their own stories in their own languages. Under the PALASH Programme, JEPC, with Language and Learning Foundation (LLF) supported students from KGBV Potka and KGBV Kanke to create 75 Big Books in five tribal languages—Ho, Mundari, Santhali, Khariya and Kudukh.
