What can Africa teach the world about peace? 🌍 On #InternationalDayOfPeace, UNESCO highlights the role of education, knowledge, dialogue and cooperation in fostering peaceful, inclusive and resilient societies across Africa. These ideas will take centre stage at the 4th Biennale of Luanda, Pan-African Forum for the Culture of Peace and Non-Violence, taking place on 22–23 October 2026 in Luanda, Angola, as a joint initiative of UNESCO, the African Union and the Government of Angola. This year, water will be at the heart of the conversation, exploring how cooperation and responsible governance of shared resources can help prevent conflict, foster dialogue and build pathways to peace.
