Midnight cannot reassign NIGHT claims after SecondFi
Glacier Drop is open again. That does not fix every wallet.
The Foundation says there is no admin key and no backdoor. A claim can only be redeemed with the private key tied to it. If that key was compromised in the SecondFi incident, Midnight cannot move the allocation to a new address.
Migrating a SecondFi wallet also does not change the Cardano destination set at claim time. Tokens still go where they were originally pointed.
Affected users are being sent to SecondFi support. No alternative redemption route was announced.

Peirce wants less KYC data. Midnight is building the tools.
SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce said firms should not keep collecting the same name, address and ID over and over. Verify the fact that matters age, accreditation, eligibility without storing the whole file.
Verifiable credentials and zero-knowledge proofs were her examples. Charles Hoskinson called that “Smart Compliance.”
Midnight is already building that model: prove a condition, keep the documents off the ledger. Peirce did not name Midnight. US identity rules have not changed.

Crypto has a dark side that very few people know about.
Behind every rug pull or failed project, there isn't just a community, there's a team that was promised the moon, only to be left stranded in the dirt.
It doesn't matter if the business is officially registered as a legal entity. It doesn't matter if you signed a formal agreement thinking it would protect you. When a project is abandoned, there is nothing left to hold onto to recover what you're owed. You are simply ignored, because the people who owe you money for your hard work know you're powerless, and that taking legal action would cost far too much.
To everyone out there working in Web3: don't make the same mistake I did. Don't trust promises. At the very first unpaid paycheck, run!
Months later, I’m still here chasing the thousands of dollars Tokeo owes me, with zero positive resolution.
I still believe in Web3, and I’d love to keep working in this space, but this experience has left a scar. It extinguished my enthusiasm and made it hard for me to even look for another job out of fear of getting burned again.
Still, I know there are good people out there too. I just hope to find them one day.

Fireblocks plans Cardano native token support by March 2027
ADA has been on Fireblocks since 2021. Native tokens have not.
That gap is scheduled to close. Banks, exchanges and payment firms will be able to hold and transfer Cardano-issued tokens through the same custody and policy controls they already use including CIP-26 and CIP-68.
Cardano Foundation CEO Frederik Gregaard: institutions rarely adopt a new asset on its own. They adopt it through trusted infrastructure.

Cutting minPoolCost from 170 to 75 ADA would give small pools more room to compete but Ryan Wiley does not expect stake to move fast.
Operators would still set their own fee, and most delegators rarely switch. On a ~300 ADA epoch reward, 75 ADA leaves about 95 ADA more before margin. The 2023 cut (340 → 170) did not trigger a race to the floor.
