He had been serving at the Spring Lake store, even feeding employees and managers for free, and publicly thanked the local manager just weeks earlier. Hartman made it clear he doesn’t push politics from the cart and “could care less who you voted for.” The decision allegedly came down from a regional manager, cutting off a small business that was simply trying to make a living with an All-American theme. This is the same company that walked back its DEI programs in 2024 after customer backlash.
