The reason I hate Michael Crick's stupid "Tomorrow's MPs" account so much is that he makes a big song and dance over how he's increasing transparency into the selection process, such noble, many integrity, wow 🙄 - but he's got fuck all sources of his own (because nobody likes him) and relies heavily on these kind of desperate begging tweets.
But then to add insult to injury he doesn't even check the accuracy of what he puts out - I know for a fact that as well as falling for this blatant meme he's also tweeted out as serious info completely fictional names that my friends have sent him for a laugh, as well as stuff that's just factually incorrect because he hasn't done the slightest bit of fact checking. And just tweeting completely unsubstantiated rumours about who's going for what seat is almost certain to lead to internal conflicts within any party, which as anyone who's ever held an officer role knows is a deeply unhelpful state of affairs.
If you're someone who's sending him names and info because you're trying to undermine your opponents or you think it will somehow help your own political career, please don't. There are dozens of political journalists who actually have something like integrity that are far better people to speak to if you feel like something like whistleblowing is necessary. Don't give jokers like Crick the privilege of validation for basically what amounts to a snide gossip account.

Some of you may know about this already but @ACinWY and I have been amassing an archive of political leaflets, manifestos and other political ephemera for many years now, but after a sort out this weekend we've estimated that there's over 700 leaflets from basically every party you can think of going all the way back to the 1960s, ✨and we want more✨
That's where you come in! Have you got old leaflets from any party or candidate at all in association cupboards that aren't doing anything? Had a fruity by-election and ended up with a deluge? A box of "opposition watch" stuff that's destined for the bin? Random old copies of manifestos, posters, pamphlets etc? WELL WE WANT THEM. And we'll look after them really nicely!
If you can help us to help you spring clean your stash before the next election then we'll gladly take stuff off your hands.
