I hope Vivek wins because at least he will cooperate with ICE. But Joel is so emotionally invested in the guy it’s crazy and can only be explained by Joel’s obsession with race. I’m not her biggest fan, but she and Jindal both won statewide offices in former Confederate states without all the screeching about race from the Joel Berrys. And the reason was they ran as Americans and not Indian Americans. Vivek brims with disdain for the people he purports to want to represent and he does it after having made himself a millionaire with a pump and dump scam. Yes- exactly! Vivek has been his own worst enemy. He comes across for what he is (a striver who has never had to pay his dues) because he is unable to mask it with delicate and barely perceptible cultural cues that only an American would know how to do— that’s where his being Indian becomes a disadvantage in this race. Jindal was a medical doctor who held various government and political positions prior to running for Governor and Haley (whom I can’t stand) has worked her way up the political class totem pole and paid dues (and is frankly, fully Americanized).
