Watermelon commies keep being wrong on the facts. Even worse, they just never consider the tradeoffs or run a basic cost-benefit. Because the surest way to destroy the environment is to cut the human population in half. Wipe out half the inventors, engineers, and tax base, and you eliminate the people who fund the solutions. (Unless the plan is to target only certain “unproductive” groups then it’s just genocidal racism and a different conversation) Because the fact is that it is rich countries that are able to reverse deforestation and cut local pollution once they’re wealthy enough to pay for better technology and enforcement. And it is growth that delivered the Green Revolution that fed billions without clearing the planet, the efficiency gains that drop impact per unit of output, and the capital that builds nuclear, advanced renewables, and high yield farming. If you shrink the population and the economy, you starve every one of those engines while trapping more people in poverty. So if your plan to “save the Earth” starts with fewer humans getting richer, it is you who are the threat.
