Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg explains how Britain, which has a combat ready military force about half the size of New York’s police department, must prepare for war with Russia. 0:00 What Is This War and Why Does Britain Need to Fight It? 19:40 Is There Majority Support for War With Russia? 25:02 Will We See a Nuclear Exchange? 26:18 Is Using Nuclear Weapons Accepted in Christianity? 33:15 Was WWII Good for Britain? 39:08 Is Ukraine a Sovereign Country? 47:29 Would Hitler Have Invaded Britain? 53:45 Britain's Attacks on Anti-War Voices 58:38 Is a War With Russia Worth the Lives of Britons? 1:03:07 What Has the British Government Done With Palestine Action?
Community note
Britain's full-time trained armed forces personnel totaled 127,060 as of July 2026, over three times the NYPD's ~35,000 sworn officers; the cited "under 19,000 ready for combat" refers to a narrow subset of roles, not Britain's overall military force. gov.uk/government/sta… gothamist.com/news/nypd-set-…

The privacy system was not involved here at all. Those funds were traced on Ethereum, the XRP Ledger and Tron, public chains anyone can read. SHIELD screens deposits and withdrawals, which are public by construction. None of it required opening a confidential balance. Refusing to trade with a tagged address takes reading exactly nothing. Privacy held.

"I'm happy to welcome you here in our modest Imperial Halls in Vienna. One of the quiet advantages of living on the old continent - there's no need to build new ballrooms ! ..." Great speech on Europe by Austrian President Van der Bellen - my edit of some of it👇 "What are our European values ? How about freedom, independent courts, the rule of law, reliable public institutions, human rights ? ... and the best idea we ever had, that of a United Europe, our home - "Heimat" Let's stop "making ourselves smaller than we are" - in German "Selbstverzwergung" - turning ourselves into dwarves. There 𝒊𝒔 a dwarf that behaves like a giant - and that's Russia !" 🇦🇹🇪🇺

We own a French company that makes fighter jets. Demand right now is off the charts. They could probably have 10 to 15 years of orders. We asked them why they wouldn't boost production. Did they not have the factory space? They said they have plenty of space. But the second they hire more people, they can't lay them off. Because of that, they're not hiring more. When every hire is a lifetime commitment, companies stay small, and new companies don't get started. Look at the number of startups in Western Europe compared to the United States. The protection of workers did not protect workers in the end, because you stop creating new jobs.

I backed Zest Protocol because this team has been building on Bitcoin longer than almost anyone, and they know how to ship great products with amazing user experience. Seeing real Bitcoin collateral working on mainnet, with the coins never leaving Bitcoin, is something I’m incredibly excited about.
Bitcoin Collateral Vaults demo is now on mainnet. Deposit native BTC into a self-custodial vault on Bitcoin L1. Borrow Ethereum USDC against it. The capital layer for Bitcoin.

I honestly think that $NEAR is such a strong asset and that I'm just simply not bullish enough on this one. TVL now passing $200 million is an incredible signal of strength.
🚨NEAR INTENTS JUST CROSSED $200 MILLION TVL! NEAR Intents TVL just printed a new high above $200 million for the first time. Real money parked in the cross-chain swap layer. This is demand. People are using near:native to move assets across chains.

NEAR this cycle is what Solana was last cycle. The hype, the integrations, the attention. Solana bet on speed. Impressive, until you see NEAR add shards on its own as load rises, holding 0.6 second blocks at 10x, 100x, 1000x the traffic. A fast single chain congests when everyone arrives. NEAR just gets wider. So what other chain even comes close to this today?

So I tried $near intents....UI is fucking CLEAN. You you use your device's biometric data or existing passkey as sign in. Set up is literally in seconds then proceed to do swaps or perps as you normally would. The thing is, people are thinking of $NEAR only as $ZEC beta...and that is indeed one aspect....but the truth is no one actually fucking uses $ZEC and it makes no meaningful revenue. People ARE using $NEAR intents for private swaps/perps bc you can clearly see the near intents chart going parabolic like @Trader_XO posted this morning. Revenue is going parabolic too.
To be continued....

been thinking more on coherent messaging re: NEAR let's ideate from first principles: - the product of capitalism is markets - capitalism -> markets -> competition -> specialization -> fragmentation - within the specializations, there will be dominant leaders in each category - SoV: gold, zec, btc - trading: solana, hyperliquid, robinhood, binance - currencies: usd, eur, gbp - and on it goes: ai inference, private compute, real estate, international stocks, metals, e-commerce yada yada - this requires connective tissue, which has been traditionally served via something like binance - but one centralized company can not serve this need for infinite markets. there are too many handicaps, lack of network effects, and singular points of risk and stoppage. this is a rare case of decentralization being necessary. neutrality is non-negotiable for unstoppable global trade. - now, you may see where I'm going and say: well Ethereum and Cosmos already tried this. but that's wrong. what they tried to do was structurally flawed - those models required the succeeding nodes (L2s and L3s) to be from within the ecosystem, but that is incoherent since i) you can't force success, ii) if one were to succeed, they would just want to own the platform - the other model is of course the Solana/Hyperliquid model of having everything concentrated on the L1. this model works. however this requires a high-degree of specialization to be competitive. you won't out nasdaq solana. - but, NEAR does not need to do this. where there is concentration, there is also the need for connection. - especially with their chain signature architecture, instead of forcing new internal nodes, they can just discover the successful ones and connect them to each other without ideology (see: NEAR intents supporting ZEC but also ZEC on Solana!) - importantly, this is PvE and not zero sum. the more markets succeed, the more interesting NEAR becomes, i.e if Solana is one continent, and AI another, and Zcash another, then NEAR is the silk road. so I think the coherent message for NEAR is: the market of markets — the capital of capital
I'm not directly involved with near unlike zec & sol, but I've been consistent that it's obviously underrated given what it can do for a while so it's satisfying to see a vibe shift around it if they nail their gtm, decrease distractions, and increase focus, this could be fun

The $NEAR team has been heads down building for years. It’s wonderful to see the world finally starting to recognize it. Still early.
For those who just (re)discovered $NEAR: - Mission is all people own their assets, data and power of choice - Vision is AI is the frontend, markets/blockchain is the backend - Privacy is fundamental and enables the mission - NEAR Intents is universal, private markets routed already $30B, integrated across all of onchain ecosystem from Ledger to ZODL to Metamask to Trust to Brave - NEAR AI is private AI powering end to end encrypted inference in Brave, Venice, and more - More products across ecosystem are developing to leverage AI x markets - Apps in Web3 that don’t want to limit themself to one chain’s users use Intents to enable seamless connect by users of any chain - near(.)com brings this whole vision together into a consumer product making private unstoppable liquidity and (soon) AI seamless If you are using onchain and private products you are probably using NEAR. And if you are struggling onchain - try near(.)com for seamless experience.

Previously when you built on NEAR - you had only NEAR users to target. Same for any other chain. Now with Intents Connect you can just build apps that target user with any wallet and assets on any chain. Chain Abstraction achieved. Best time to build.
