We are still friend and allies to a certain extent, but you have to admit that the US has funded the majority of your protection as well as the rest of NATO members. This is has been an ongoing issue that no US president has ever called Canada out on, but should have. Canada has enjoyed the military umbrella provided by the US for half a century without providing much in returns, except for exports, which were at 70% of your entire economy. American taxpayers footed the bill, but we can shut this down at any time. Let’s not forget what a petty, greedy country Canada has become. After 9/11 the US agreed to share our own FBI database with Canada in an attempt to coordinate information on terrorists. What did Canada do that had nothing to do with terrorism? Began screening Americans for shoplifting, DUIs and any other misdemeanor charges with the sole purpose of feeding the Canadian government with faux criminal rehabilitation requirements and fees to reenter Canada. Until proven otherwise, the Canadian government is nothing more than a failing entity that leaches off of their own supposed allies.
