That's a wrap on @ecommerceexpo London 🇬🇧 @piyush_jn's "Churn is a Choice" talk in one line: LTV = order count × AOV. Acquire the right subscribers, reward consistency, save the cancels, upsell relentlessly. Thanks to everyone who stopped by the booth 💜

Subscription data shouldn't need a translator. Loop MCP is live! ask a question → get a straight answer. no dashboards, no cross-referencing, no waiting on a report. running multiple stores? switch between them in the same chat. want your own view of the business? build it with a prompt. merchants have been on it for weeks: catching churn before it snowballs, spotting which cohorts are slipping fastest, making the call in minutes, not days. one of our most requested features. also one of our favorites. and we're just getting started. lots more coming to Loop MCP. your subscription data. just ask 👇

The SAG Awards of e-commerce. And it’s one week out. 🏆 The Golden Cart Awards 2026 hit Cipriani 55 Wall Street on September 17, and @LoopEngine is proud to be part of the night alongside CartStars, presented by @klaviyo 15 awards. Operators, brands, partners and events that genuinely moved this industry forward. Here’s what we love about it. Every nominee was picked by their peers. No applications. Just recognition, earned. Black tie. Big night. 🥂 Congratulations to every nominee! See you on Wall Street.

KittySpout treated retention like something you tune, not a switch you flip once. Rebuilt their cancel funnel + payment recovery with our team. Impact they saw: churn down ~15%, ~50% of failed payments recovered. Their words: "Loop is a partner vs just a tool." Full story here: loopwork.co/customer-stories…

We have seen this strategy in action at @LoopEngine & this works brilliantly. One more insight - Stop emailing customers on every failed payment. For soft declines, retry silently. Save the emails for hard declines, where you actually need a new card.
An aggressive 80%+ take rate sounds like a straight win. 8/10 people buying are choosing the subscription over a one-time order. But push subscriptions that hard and you get pretty unqualified people joining it. And unqualified doesn’t mean they didn’t want the product. So for one of the brands I’m involved with we ran the analysis on the cancellations, and it wasn’t about: Revoking the payment method The fact that they didn’t like the product BUT insufficient funds on the card. So they were canceling against their will and we just never had a proper flow reminding anyone to update their card so we rebuilt the whole thing: • Expanded the number of times we retry the card • One initial notification that it didn’t go through and how to fix it • If no reply, we try it again • Each retry goes through at a lower discounted rate • And we stop emailing them about it after that first one We’re treating it as a proactive discount to keep the customer on the subscription. It’s a tactic to use when you KNOW the product is a banger and it might be a bit more expensive than what they wanted to stay subscribed to. Turned out to be an incredible churn reducer, little to no spike in cancellations, chargebacks flat, and support complaints the same. So across the board, I was pretty happy with how all that went down.

Boston, we'll see you in a week! Loop is at K:BOS 2026, Sept 9-10, Hynes Convention Center. The biggest wins never come from a session. They come from what you build afterward. So let's build something. Come talk to us about turning first time buyers into subscribers, the churn signals your flows should be catching, and @klaviyo and @LoopEngine wired together properly. Find us on the expo floor. We will be the ones talking retention way too enthusiastically.

"Best decision ever." That's a co-founder emailing us, a year after moving his brand onto Loop. HelloBello sells fresh and frozen dog food out of Vienna. Every plan is calculated for one specific dog - portion size, recipe mix, delivery rhythm - across three markets. When a subscription is that personal, the experience around it has to be too. So HelloBello didn't want to configure a portal. They wanted to build one. Theirs, in their own front end, in their own language. That's a real ask of a subscription platform. It means every action a subscriber can take has to run through the API - pause, skip, reschedule, swap, cancel and land back cleanly enough that the brand's numbers still say something true. Loop's API carried it. Almost 3 years on, that's still where their subscriptions run. Full story: loopwork.co/customer-stories…

New in Loop: instant winback offers 🔁 sub cancels → cancellation goes through → banner + countdown drops on their portal → they tap → offer opens → accept and the sub is live again same cancel session. not a winback email 3 days later that nobody opens. the good part: only people who actually cancelled, see it. so you can run a way steeper offer here than you'd ever put in your cancel-flow. nothing leaks to subs who were staying anyway. set the validity window, cool-off settings, your incentive, your banner. ~1 min to go live.

We analyzed 441K cancel attempts to find out what separates 22%+ save rates from the rest. Then turned it into a 3-min quiz. 8 scenarios. A score out of 200. your retention archetype revealed. At the end: → see where you stand → find your blind spots → steal the full playbook - the cancel flow framework Loop brands use Take the quiz. Reply with your score. A 12-month VIP and an order-2 subscriber eyeing the skip button shouldn't get the same reward. But most retention plays hand everyone the same discount. Mystery Rewards works by segment. Each subscriber sees a different surprise when they open the portal: VIPs → full-size product, early access At-risk → 20% off or a free sample Order 2–5 → curated sample pack They don't know what they're getting until they click. That anticipation is what pulls attention off the cancel button. And it's claim-based, not auto-applied: No portal visit? No cost. Portal visit but don't claim? No cost. You only spend when someone actually engages. No blanket discounts eating your margin - just precision retention.

Introducing Mystery Rewards 🎁 Here’s what most brands don’t realize – 70% of your subscriber portal visits end in a negative action. Cancel, skip, pause, delay. The portal was built for convenience. But it’s become the place where subscribers go to disengage. Mystery Rewards flips that. A subscriber opens the portal. Before they reach the skip button, a surprise is waiting. A mystery gift. That’s the "aha!" moment. Curiosity takes over. The cancel button fades into the background. Personalized by segment. Claim-based offers so margins stay protected. No blanket discounts. Brands using Mystery Rewards see ~50% reduction in negative portal actions. Know more → loopwork.co/downloads/myster…

Support speed isn't about convenience. It's about whether problems actually get solved. When it takes weeks to hear back, your brain has already moved on. The fix you wanted to ship never ships. The retention test you wanted to run never runs. Zach Lutton, President at Zedric's, put it simply: "It would take weeks to get a reply at times. With Loop, I can just reach out on Slack and get a response right away." Multiply that by every small improvement you wanted to make this year. That's the real cost of slow platforms. Not frustration - abandoned initiatives. The brands with the best retention aren't running smarter playbooks. They're just able to ship more because they can actually get answers when they need them. I'd not want my 2026 to be a list of "things I meant to implement." Yours shouldn't either.
