At UNGA 81, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda highlighted three key priorities for Katsina and the wider Northwest: security, investment and economic growth.
As Chairman of the North West Governors’ Forum, he championed the 2026–2030 Northwest Peace, Security and Development Framework, emphasising regional collaboration, intelligence sharing and a coordinated approach to security.
He also called for stronger public-private partnerships, transparent project delivery, counterpart funding and measures to reduce investment risks and attract private capital.
At the Africa Forward roundtable, discussions further explored how collaboration between government and fintech companies could improve financial inclusion, support MSMEs and expand technology-driven public services.
The message is clear: lasting security builds confidence, investment creates economic opportunities, and technology helps make those opportunities accessible to more people.
