Franklin Templeton Gets SEC Green Light To Expand Stellar Based Fund Access The SEC issued a no action letter allowing Franklin Templeton’s registered funds to invest in its OnChain U.S. Government Money Fund. Per reports, the decision removes certain custody hurdles under the Investment Company Act. The fund, known as BENJI, operates through an onchain recordkeeping system supported by Stellar (@StellarOrg). Franklin’s transfer agent will control the Stellar wallets and private keys. The fund invests mainly in U.S. government securities and targets a stable $1 share price.
