Probably the coolest feature for people with kids who need to regularly call grandparents
This is one of my favorite features of the iPhone Duo. When you’re on FaceTime, you can utilize both screens and cameras. If you’re pointing the camera at someone in front of you, the person on the other side of the phone can talk to whoever you’re on the call with too. You don’t need to flip the phone like we do now. Very impressive software/hardware integration.

New @SliceofHC episode out now! 🎙️ I sat down with the founder who has spent nine years building the infrastructure layer underneath virtual care, and who sat out the biggest cash grab the category has seen: the structural problem she wrote about in April, why Wheel passed on compounded GLP-1s, running three million visits a year with under a hundred people, patients now walking in knowing more than their clinician does, and the one decision she refuses to hand to a model: - @MLDavey, CEO and co-founder of @Wheel_Health — Brought to you by: Sage Growth Partners — Value-focused strategy and marketing for growth-driven healthcare organizations.

Looking for a Chief of Staff to help take a new initiative from 0 to 1. This isn't a support role. You'll own the plan, make the calls, and build the machine that gets us to launch. Who this is for: → You've built something from nothing before (a company, a product, a business line) → You're AI-native — you use AI tools as core infrastructure, not an afterthought or slop. → Founder or ex-founder energy — comfortable with ambiguity, allergic to hand-holding → You can go deep on commercial/financial models, not just skim the summary Reports directly to me. Early conversations held in confidence — happy to share more once we connect. If this sounds like you (or someone you know), send me a note.

FDA proposes to exclude semaglutide, tirzepatide, and liraglutide on the 503B bulks list. After careful review, we did not identify sufficient clinical need for outsourcing facilities to compound these drugs from bulk substances. Public comment period now open. Spot on regarding eng talent / founder talent - Austin attracts people with families. Curious what others think we could do to change that?
Had a great time talking with Will and Jason about what it's like to build a software startup in Austin!

1/ When we built Wheel, we invented the infrastructure category virtual care runs on. Enterprises, health plans, clinicians... all standing on what we built. That's not a founding story. That's weight.

3/ But pointing at what's broken was never Wheel's role. Our ethos from day 1 has been to teach. So that's what we're doing next. Bringing together the people building this right to lead the conversation.

You have no experience. You’ve never started a company. You’ve never had a full time job. Nike is going to kill you. You’re a kid. You don’t have technical skills. You shouldn’t build hardware. Apple is going to kill you. You can’t build hardware. You can’t measure heart rate non-invasively. Athletes don’t care about recovery. Under Armour is going to kill you. It won’t be accurate. You don’t listen. You’re an ineffective leader. You can’t recruit great talent. You’re going to have to pay every athlete. You can’t measure sleep non-invasively. It’s too expensive to research. Athletes are a small market. The product costs too much to make. The product costs too much to sell. Your valuation is too high. Consumers aren’t going to want it. Hardware is too hard. You should measure steps. Fitbit is going to kill you. You can’t build a marketing engine. You can’t raise enough money. You need a real CEO. Google is going to kill you. You can’t be a subscription. You can’t build a brand. You can’t do consumer in Boston. Your valuation is too high. You shouldn’t make accessories. You shouldn’t make apparel. Lululemon is going to kill you. You can’t predict Covid. Stay in your niche. You are going to run out of money. You can’t build a health platform. Amazon is going to kill you. You can’t measure blood pressure. You can’t get medical approvals. The market is too small. You don’t understand AI. The market is too competitive. It won’t work internationally. The supply chain is too complicated. You can’t build an AI. You can’t raise enough money. It’s too competitive. Healthcare isn’t going to want it. … Just keep going ✌️

Genuinely shocked that we do more diligence than the @newyorktimes.
.@eringriffith: "His start-up, Medvi, a telehealth provider of GLP-1 weight-loss drugs, got 300 customers in its first month. In its second month, it gained 1,000 more. In 2025, Medvi’s first full year in business, the company generated $401 million in sales. Mr. Gallagher then hired his only employee, his younger brother, Elliot. This year, they are on track to do $1.8 billion in sales." nytimes.com/2026/04/02/techn…

We are thrilled to share the close of our second fund, “V2”, at $55.75M! In V2 we intend to continue partnering with exceptional pre-seed & seed healthcare founders as an additive lead or co-lead partner. Our check sizes will range from $1-2M across 25 companies over the next 3 years. At @virtue_vc we partner with founders in their earliest financing rounds to tackle the real, intractable problems that continue to hinder the broader healthcare ecosystem. We are honored to have the unwavering support of our best-in-class Limited Partners – and specifically our anchor @CendanaCapital – for allowing us to deepen our commitment to the next generation of healthcare founders. In the last three years, Virtue’s Fund I portfolio companies – such as @DxSmarter, Evvy, Mural Health, Anna Health, among others – have collectively raised over $225 million, reaching a combined valuation of $1B+. Our stage and sector specialization allows us to meaningfully support a range of startups that are reshaping how healthcare is delivered, financed, and coded. We are at an important moment in healthcare, fueled by the convergence of rapid AI breakthroughs, shifting policies and regulatory landscape, pressure to modernize antiquated operating systems and unlock valuable clinical data assets, rising costs of care and life saving drugs, and an evolving cultural sentiment that demands more from our healthcare system.
