To be fair, I think everyone could see this was the big reason why Trump wanted the Kennedy Center so badly. To sell access. The one honest thing about the Grenell text is how crooked it is. And like all crappy corrupt deals it made everything worse and the Kennedy Center isn’t even open now.
🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Top Trump adviser Ric Grenell allegedly outlined a stunning pay-for-influence offer to a Turkish billionaire last year that included access to Trump, according to a text message reviewed by Axios that the WH counsel is investigating. axios.com/2026/10/19/kennedy…

Most corrupt administration in history . Criminals everywhere
WOW: Top Trump adviser Ric Grenell outlined a stunning pay-for-influence offer to a Turkish billionaire last year: access to "POTUS," "VIP events" and administration officials, according to a text message, reviewed by Axios “Once the money comes to the company here, I will arrange the donation to Kennedy Centre [sic], and you'll be joining the VIP events and get close with the administration, even with POTUS," the May 3, 2025, text says.

I was very surprised to learn that our vice president has spoken on the phone with Putin. That is very uncharacteristic of Putin to have a call with any US government official besides the president. Are there any readouts of these calls?
Vance: "I've never met Putin in person. I've spoken to him on the phone. He was calmer than you might expect. The American media has a stereotype of him. He's very deliberate and measured in his words. I think, at his core, he's someone who cares about Russia's interests as he sees them. One reason he respects the President is that he recognizes the President cares about the interests of the American people." x.com/Acyn/status/1958307741…

The Trump Administration was clearly lying about the reasons for their mass felling of trees in East Potomac last weekend. They were lying to conceal from the American people that, at a time when our country is at war and everyone is worried about the economy and high prices, the President simply doesn’t care—he’s focused on building an upscale golf course within walking distance of the White House. And on his fancy ballroom and his memorial arch to himself. The design he’s pursuing would block off roads and paths used by large numbers of local residents for cycling and walking, no doubt to make the area another exclusive hangout for Trump’s rich and powerful friends. And once again he’s doing all of that at great expense, on your dime.
Breaking: Trump says he'll close East Potomac golf course Nov 15 and begin his overhaul "The current Course is old, broken, dilapidated, and of no further use or effect," Trump wrote. Officials didn't immediately respond to Qs about cost w @RickMaese washingtonpost.com/sports/20…

OSSOFF: At a rally, the president egged on supporters who assaulted a woman demanding the release of the Epstein files. Because if you can count on one thing about this White House, it's their tireless commitments to war, inflation, and covering up sex trafficking.

Amy, you don't understand. They were all there to develop a plan to deal with affordability!
This was how Trump spent his Saturday night. At Mar-a-Lago with corporate leaders and wealthy donors throwing millions of dollars at his super PAC because they want things in return, and are getting them. This is the overt decline of the United States!

This thread offers a quite logical prediction of our economic future post-Trump. Worth a read.

5/5 Now, I love America. I'm writing this because I want ordinary Americans to understand the consequences of these disastrous decisions. The damage being done to America's reputation won't be reversed by the results of the next elections. It will take decades to rebuild that trust. And the economic consequences, while not immediate, will go much further than a potential 2 cents per gallon decrease in diesel prices. And if you think the world doesn't notice, or that everything I'm describing is just hypothetical, let me give you two examples of what is already happening. These decisions were made even before the latest Starshield restrictions, which only make the problem much worse. Airbus, one of the world's largest aircraft manufacturers, has already signed a contract to move 70 critical applications from Amazon AWS to French cloud provider Scaleway, with plans that could eventually include 900 applications. Airbus specifically mentioned concerns about foreign laws and potential "kill switches" when choosing its new provider. In the Netherlands, one of the country's largest telecom companies, KPN, partnered with German Schwarz Digits to build European cloud infrastructure using STACKIT, hosted in Dutch data centers and controlled by European companies. The Dutch government has also approved STACKIT as an alternative cloud provider for its agencies. These aren't some people complaining about Trump on Twitter. These are major corporations signing real contracts, investing real money and building infrastructure to reduce their dependence on American technology. And that's the part Americans need to understand. For decades the USA was a reliable partner. Republicans and Democrats disagreed about plenty of things, but America's foreign policy was built around long-term strategic interests and institutions that survived changes in presidents. Countries trusted the USA enough to build entire industries around its technology. Now a foreign government has to consider whether some American president might wake up tomorrow wanting cheaper gas, believing another promise from Putin, getting angry with its elected leadership, or trying to get a better deal for his friends. And suddenly technology that was supposed to make that country more productive becomes a potential political weapon against it. The USA spent decades making the world dependent on its technology because the world trusted America. Now American companies will be paying the price for political decisions they didn't make, long after the politicians responsible are gone. And no election in the USA will magically restore that trust.

What is delusional?
.@SecScottBessent: “Core inflation is down. Food is below the Fed’s targets. Prescription drugs have had the biggest decrease in history. Rents are down. This is an energy shock. We will get to the other side of the Iran conflict, and those prices will come down.”

Ossoff: Right now there is wickedness in high places in the United States. You all have seen it, yes? You've seen health insurance torn away from those in the middle of a cancer fight. You've seen the nation once again lied into war. While it costs more than ever in American history to stock your fridge or fill up your truck or power your home or go to the doctor, you see the president adorn his office in gold, build monuments to himself, and line his own pockets with billions of dollars. Corruption on a scale unprecedented in our Republic's history… And let's be clear about one thing, there's only one man who tried to commit voter fraud in the state of Georgia in 2020, and it was Donald J. Trump when he called up Brad Raffensperger and demanded that he find him the votes he needed to win in a state that he’d lost.

If this isn’t grounds for impeachment and removal from office, what is? Where’s the rage from the people who lost their minds when Obama wore a tan suit? Imagine any other American commander-in-chief saying this
Trump admits that Russia is helping Iran to kill and maim American troops. But just a “very little.” This is a grotesque betrayal of US forces on the battlefield in this war—and their families. The war that Trump launched. No American Commander-in-Chief has sunk so low.

It's been a good week for Putin. In recent days, Trump has: * Struck a diesel deal lifting some sanctions * Restricted Starshield for Ukraine * Cut intel warnings of Russian missile launches against Ukraine for several days * Canceled Lindsey Graham sanctions * Demanded Ukraine dump Zelensky * Absolved Russia for helping Iran fight the US * Pushed Europe to resume buying Russian gas

Wow! If this doesn't get the cost of groceries and gas down, nothing will. Well done, Mr. President.
I am pleased to announce that the Department of the Interior, under the auspices of Secretary Doug Burgum, and in conjunction with famed Golf Course Architect, Tom Fazio, has developed a plan to build a World Class Championship Golf Course on the site of the current East Potomac Golf Links, located in Washington, D.C. When completed, it will be open to the Public while, at the same time, designed to the Highest Level of Golf and able to hold World Class Tournaments such as the U.S. Open, the PGA Championship, the Ryder Cup, and the Presidents Cup. This Course will create many Jobs, and have a tremendously positive Economic Development impact on Washington, D.C., and the surrounding area. Millions of Dollars will inure to the Capital area. The current Course is old, broken, dilapidated, and of no further use or effect. It is in very poor condition, with falling, dangerous, and disease infested trees and, importantly, a collapsing and hazardous seawall. When the East Potomac Course was originally built, it was famous for no trees, with views of Washington, D.C., for all to see, but now, it is completely overgrown, dysfunctional, and unsafe. Restoration work will begin on the Fazio Design on November 15th, when the old Course will be closed to play. The new Course will be opened in approximately 15 months. The United States Golf Association, PGA of America, and the PGA Tour have already been notified that they will soon have one of the Best and Most Spectacular Golf Courses anywhere in the World to put on their list of great places to play, and hold Major Events. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP ( TS: Oct 18 2026, 10:09 AM ET )‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‍

Wonder if I’m going to get anything from @CruiseNorwegian for my birthday, beyond a slice of cake (that they forgot last year). Would be nice to sit at the captains table or get a tour of the Aqua. First NCL cruise I’m taking on a new ship .
