Bill and I batted around a lot of ideas for copy we could use to describe this thing, and I think we finally cinched it with "A dark, sweltering journey through the hall of mirrors at the end of history." By the time you finally put it down, you will agree.
October 20.

A huge thanks to everyone who bought, preordered, promoted, even just checked out SALOMON’S GARDEN. I wrote this over about four years and the process was long, arduous, and often lonely, and I am thrilled to have even one reader. Thanks @20gaShotgun for taking the chance. Enjoy!

“TAMU Law School” still doesn’t compute for me. I’ve yet to meet an Aggie lawyer in the field. Dozens and dozens from South Texas, Baylor, UH, still nobody from A&M.
More stats out of Texas (First-time test takers):
Top 3 Schools:
Texas A&M: 134 takers, 133 passed (~99%) 👀👀
U Texas: 220 takers, 211 passed (~96%)
S.M.U: 185 takers, 174 passed ( ~94%)
Bottom 3 Schools:
U. North Texas: 117 takers, 84 passed (~72%)
T.S.U: 129 takers, 94 passed (~73%)
St Mary's: 220 takers, 165 passed (~75%)
Even the bottom 3 didn't fare that poorly. But, note, this is first-timer statistics. Repeaters played a different tune. As an example, at S.M.U (in the top 3 for first timers) 16 took the exam, and 1 passed (~6%).

The hammer of reality spares no one. Thank you for giving this one a home Z.H.
today in burial: it’s time for ‘territory,’ a stunning, chilling poem from @tombdelay—a sampling: ‘Now raptured into a stranger’s mouth. / Only to be shuffled by many tongues. / Between molars and canines / you found it.’ read all of ‘territory’ at the l i n k 👇👇: don’t wait.

Key litigation mindset: you can’t think about the stakes or the scoreboard and just gotta focus on the filing in front of you. “The stakes” are for strategic consideration, not tactical.

Buy a bus ticket. Fill your gas tank. Put your thumb out at the side of the highway. Call every single person you know who might have a couch in Texas. There are simply no excuses left.
A little more news on this later this week. Limited-run zine of some short stories for yall with a killer cover design by @throw_remote, available ONLY at the @FarthestHeaven event this Saturday, 10/24 in AUSTIN, TEXAS.
Very Halloween appropriate is all I’ll say

Not much time left to preorder. Join the winning team. Have an "initial print run" edition that will become a coveted, valuable collectible after they put me in the ground and I develop a posthumous cult following.

“This next song,” hand wiping his long brown hair from his sweaty forehead, “you’ve never heard this shit before. It’s the first time we’re playing it. This next song is about killing your parents and packing the bodies into a freezer."
