I entered this industry in 2019, curious about what this new technology could change. Today, blockchain, digital assets and tokenization are becoming part of conversations across traditional finance. And somewhere along the way, I realized something: I wasn’t just watching an industry grow. I was growing with it. I went from learning everything from scratch to building a 200K+ community, working with international companies and developing a much deeper interest in where traditional finance and digital assets meet. This is my story. So far 🧡

This should be a lesson for all of us. Two major crypto security incidents happened almost at the same time this September, involving Bitget and D’CENT. And for me, this story feels quite personal because I worked with the marketing teams of both companies years ago. I know both brands, and both have been established names in the crypto industry for years. But this is exactly the point: nothing in crypto is 100% secure. Bitget suffered a major security breach, and withdrawals were temporarily affected. At almost the same time, thousands of D’CENT App Wallet users were affected by another attack involving millions of XRP. I’m experiencing part of this situation myself. Right now, I can’t withdraw my own funds from #Bitget. Does that mean I suddenly don’t trust the company? No. It means I’m reminded once again why I’ve been telling my community the same thing for years: never rely on one platform. I don’t keep all my crypto on one exchange, and I don’t rely on one wallet. When people ask me which exchange or wallet they should use, I rarely give them just one name. I believe in spreading the risk across different exchanges, different wallets and different ways of storing assets. The crypto industry is still young. Technology is developing incredibly fast, but unfortunately, hackers are developing with it. We can’t control every security incident, but we can control how much one incident can affect us. I genuinely feel for everyone experiencing difficulties because of these attacks. But I also hope this becomes a reminder for all of us to learn more about security and take responsibility for how we store our assets. One exchange should never hold everything you have. One wallet shouldn’t either. Diversification isn’t only about what you invest in. It’s also about where you keep it.

On January 31, 1329, four Jewish creditors were involved in a loan of 950 silver marks to a Habsburg count. The city of Zurich acted as guarantor. The original document, which released the city from its guarantee, still has three wax seals used to confirm its authenticity. Imagine that! Almost 700 years ago, people were already dealing with loans, financial guarantees and ways to verify important documents. Today, we have digital signatures, cryptography and blockchain technology to verify transactions and protect financial records. After more than seven years in crypto, seeing this piece of history made me appreciate how far financial technology has come. I had a great podcast with @Davincij15 - one of the first people on YouTube telling the audience to buy Bitcoin when it was still around $1. But this conversation wasn’t really about Bitcoin. We talked about discipline. How the smallest things you don’t feel like doing can shape your mindset. Because discipline doesn’t suddenly appear when it’s time to invest, build a business or make an important decision. Small actions build habits. Habits build discipline. And discipline eventually shows up everywhere - including in how you invest 😉 What’s one small thing you do every day that has taught you discipline?

Content creators connect AI to their social media platforms. AI can write your posts every day, and of course that’s cool because it saves time and does a lot of routine work for you. I feel like social media is becoming more and more soulless. I don’t want to read perfectly structured AI texts every day. I want to know what YOU think, what YOU feel, what happened to YOU today, or just see some random thing YOU decided to post because you felt like it. That’s what social media is for me!!! Sometimes my followers ask me: “Maria, how can you be SO different?” One day I look like I work for BlackRock 😂 Suit on. Serious conference. Banks, institutions, corporate people. Talking markets, understanding fundamentals and where the money is moving. Next day I’m in a Shiba Inu cap, making ridiculous videos and laughing with my friends. But who told you that you have to choose? Who told you life should be plain? Who told you that being serious means you have to be boring all the time? That’s not sexy at all, in my opinion. I can talk markets with bankers today and wear a Shiba Inu cap tomorrow. I can be serious about my work without being serious about myself 24/7. Life is like plain yogurt. Sure, you can eat it like that. But I’d rather add some berries, some spice, and a cherry on top 🍒 That’s much more my taste.
