Minutes ago, Israel recognized Somaliland as an independent state. A historic decision that reflects strategic clarity at a moment when hesitation carries a price. Just two weeks ago, I wrote in @IsraelHayomEng / @IsraelHayomHeb why this moment was approaching and why it could no longer be postponed: “Between an Iranian proxy in Yemen and a Turkish proxy in Somalia, Somaliland is the last intact coastline on this corridor not pulled into someone else’s strategic design".
