My latest political cartoon: JD Vance and the AI Frankenstein. I drew AI as Frankenstein, not rampaging, but quietly holding a flower while Big Tech scatters in terror around him. JD Vance stands with the other reality in his hands: the extraordinary power costs of AI data centers. His recent words gave me the image: “If you’re building Frankenstein, stop.” But creation carries responsibility. The data centers require power. The grid requires expansion. Someone must bear the cost. The creator cannot flee from the creature and leave the public with the bill. You built Frankenstein. You pay his electric bill. #JDVance #AI #PoliticalCartoon

Today, President Donald Trump stood beside steel recovered from the WTC World Trade Center South Tower and honored Welles Crowther the “Man in the Red Bandana.” at the 9/11 Steel Across America ceremony today Trump’s speech kept returning to a vertical vocabulary: towers knocked down, a nation that stood back up, Crowther going up and down the stairs to save others. Trump said the steel reminds us that “America will fight, America will endure, and America will prevail.” So I stood the steel upright. I placed Crowther’s red bandana at its summit an echo, for me, of the old Liberty cap imagery of the American revolutionary age. WE WILL NEVER FORGET. in Trumps speech today he REPEATED THE WORDS DEMOLITION 9:349 minutes, 34 seconds.... give New York a whole lot of praise because they started that, you call it ***demolition.🗼 The ***demolition 🗼 had taken 9:429 minutes, 42 seconds ...place, but you call it **demolition. 🗼 They had the best **demolition 🗼 contractors anywhere in the world. I know all of them from being in the business. And ALSO LOTS OF VERTICAL VOCABULARY: Mile HIGH, up the stairs, cannot be kept down..down is death, up is courage and transcendance. The towers are knocked down. America “stood back up.” Rubble seems “a mile high.” Firefighters run up the stairs. Crowther repeatedly travels up and down. Kathleen Burke was one of those teachers who made history come alive. A true free spirit, she had a deep love for ancient Greek literature and shared it w contagious enthusiasm. After ten minutes of teaching, she’d often let us sign out of school to read in the rose gardens 🌹such a cool 😎 teacher. At SEM, the rule was that only students could get each other in trouble, and we even had a student court system. The teachers stayed out of discipline entirely, which made her class feel like a community built on trust.
