Stuck the landing! Three years ago today, the OSIRIS-REx spacecraft released a sample capsule at the edge of Earth’s atmosphere to land perfectly upright in the Utah desert. The capsule held a record amount of pristinely captured rocks and dust from asteroid Bennu. Scientists have studied the extraterrestrial sample, learning it contains all the ingredients key to life.

Really enjoyed getting a closer look at what’s happening at the University of Arizona today. President Suresh Garimella, Shawn Domagal-Goldman, Dr. Erika Hamden and the team took us through some of the work underway across astrophysics and planetary science, including an up-close look at the Magnum Telescope. We also had a packed house of students with a lot of great questions about where NASA is going and how they can be part of it. @uarizona has contributed to NASA missions for generations. So great to see that legacy continuing and meet some of the people who will carry it forward.
