Two very special days in Torino 🇮🇹 at Urothelial Cancer Update 2026 – Meets the Guidelines, Challenges the Decisions. A great opportunity to discuss where the extraordinary amount of new evidence in urothelial cancer is taking us — and, more importantly, how we translate that evidence into meaningful clinical decisions. It was particularly rewarding to see so much of the work of the #eauguidelines NMIBC Panel reflected in these discussions. I feel very fortunate to count on @paolo_gontero leadership of the panel and on the extraordinary commitment of all its members. A very special thank you to Paolo and @Francesc_Soria for the invitation, the stimulating discussions and their wonderful hospitality. And once again, meetings like this are about much more than science. We are lucky when colleagues become friends, and when we find genuinely good people along the way. Grazie, Torino.

I may be using X less lately, but what concerns me most is seeing increasingly disrespectful conversations among colleagues. If one day I leave this platform, this will probably be the reason. We are scientists. We should be champions of evidence, critical thinking and respectful debate. We should lead by example.

Me voy del LXI Congreso Colombiano de Urología profundamente impresionada por la excelencia científica y la impecable organización de @scucolombia. Una sociedad con un enorme compromiso con la investigación, la innovación y la formación, algo que se ha hecho evidente durante todos estos días. Ha sido también un privilegio representar a @uroweb junto a Arnulf Stenzl y Evangelos Liatsikos. Trabajar codo con codo con las sociedades nacionales, compartir conocimiento y construir puentes entre organizaciones es lo que hace más fuerte nuestra especialidad. Especialmente interesante fue intercambiar puntos de vista sobre inteligencia artificial en urología con colegas de Europa, Estados Unidos y Canadá. Sistemas sanitarios, experiencias y, a veces, opiniones diferentes… precisamente por eso estas conversaciones son tan valiosas. Quiero celebrar también a las urólogas colombianas. Su presencia, liderazgo y energía son imposibles de ignorar. Tengo la suerte de contar a muchas entre mis amigas y ver cómo seguimos creciendo, apoyándonos y creando oportunidades para las que vienen detrás me hace sentir enormemente orgullosa. Somos más fuertes cuando nos ayudamos a avanzar. Y luego está Cartagena… el color, la luz, la energía caribeña, su gente y su gastronomía. Incluso conseguí repetir un buen sancocho. 😉 Pero, por encima de todo, me quedo con una hospitalidad extraordinaria. @williamquirogamatamoros, @jacajigas y todo el equipo de la SCU tienen una forma excepcional de hacer que sus invitados se sientan como en casa. El equipo organizador, la secretaría y el hotel nos han cuidado de una manera difícil de olvidar. Me voy con mucha ciencia, grandes conversaciones, muchos reencuentros y la sensación de sentirme todavía un poco más hermana de Colombia. 🇨🇴 Gracias, @scucolombia.
