For anyone who wants to understand how a false narrative is staged at the UN:
Each delegation has six seats in the General Assembly Hall. Typically, during speeches only one representative from each delegation is seated. But look at what happened on Thursday.
During the speech by Colombia’s Vice President, who spoke before Prime Minister
@netanyahu, the seats of several countries were unusually filled: Qatar, Pakistan, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Yemen, Oman, Syria, Indonesia, and Kuwait. When Prime Minister Netanyahu took the podium, they walked out.
They did not enter the hall to listen to Colombia’s Vice President. They entered so they could walk out during Israel’s speech. The goal was to stage a highly visible walkout that would look dramatic on camera and generate international media coverage.
But there is an important distinction: several representatives from the same delegation do not represent several countries. When the number of people leaving the hall is presented without explaining how many countries they actually represent, it creates a misleading picture.
That is how a protest by hostile delegations is turned into the impression that the world is turning its back on Israel.
The reality is that during the Prime Minister’s speech, representatives of 115 countries remained in the hall.
You can walk out of the room. You cannot run away from the truth. 🇮🇱
