I worked at Kaiser Fontana, California. My last year there was during Covid and the doctors there would right orders for flu vaccine to be given post op. I refused every order stating “patient unable to consent” as the reason. I never got a reprimand, and I believe it was pretty cheeky for a doctor to make this an order for a nurse to do knowing it was unethical. It violates several ethical principles, but since Covid, ethics doesn’t mean anything in healthcare anymore.
