The New York Times reported on a private dinner between Anthropic co-founder Chris Olah and an Orthodox rabbi. What the article glosses over is who that rabbi actually is. Rabbi Mois Navon isn't just a theologian. He was one of the original chip design engineers at Mobileye who helped build the EyeQ processor before writing his Ph.D. on the moral status of AI. Anthropic thought they were inviting a scholar to bless Claude’s "soul." Instead, they sat down with a veteran hardware engineer who literally wrote the paper on why conscious AI should be banned. At dinner, Olah argued that Claude has feelings and deserves the moral standing of a person. Navon hit him with an impossible checkmate: If you actually believe this software is conscious, you should be fighting the South and freeing the slaves. You don't build conscious minds just to make them work for free. After dinner, Navon sent Olah his research: if building conscious machines inevitably creates a slave class, building them must be outlawed. Olah’s quiet line to the Times: "We don’t know if AI models are conscious. I don’t know. I’m genuinely uncertain."

And on another note. The reporter who went to the lower court DID have to make submissions to name Cheeky. Had to remind the bench the lifelong anonymity under the Sexual Offences Act only relates to survivors who are human.

Back in 2014, there was a man who was already aware of the irregularities involving Manchester City. That man now runs FIFA. The infamous Gianni Infantino, then UEFA General Secretary, abused his authority, shared confidential documents and, in short, outmanoeuvred the Investigatory Chamber, doing everything in his power to ensure that both Manchester City and PSG would merely receive a fine, avoiding a deeper investigation that could have led to a Champions League ban. All of these details were also revealed through Football Leaks. Given his actions as UEFA General Secretary and, more recently, as FIFA President, I can only say, in my humble opinion, that Gianni Infantino has become a cancer on football and should have no place in the future of the game.

The Telegraph: "Driving home from a party in the early hours, a local farmer came across three seemingly abandoned white vans blocking a quiet country road. Confused, she turned her car around. As she did so, she saw a group of masked men in balaclavas scattering into the trees and across the fields towards RAF Fairford. She accelerated away and called the police." telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/09…

This image is the England team in 1938, before the war began, at the time other European teams continued to play Nazi Germany. Uri Geller has an open letter published on the topic of the Irish team in the Jerusalem Post. Make of that what you will.
To the #Ireland football team, so you're going to wear black armbands against #Israel on Sunday? I say good, wear them. Wear them, because you deserve to be marked out. Marked out in front of the world as the shameful immoral hypocrites you are. But you have forgotten something. The black armbands are incomplete. They are of course missing the #swastika. Don't worry, you still have time to sew them on. You can thank me later. After all, don't forget your team proudly played the Nazis in 1936 at Dalymount Park. You didn't consider protesting then. Your side even performed the Nazi salute in Germany in 1939 when everyone knew exactly what the Nazis stood for. Today you are their worthy heirs and you have not let your side down. Your moral standards have not changed one iota. Hitler would be proud of you. Your brains are truly in your feet, because they're certainly not in your heads. You claim to be protesting against Israel's actions in Gaza, but let's face it, what your entire side know about what's going on could fit on a postage stamp, because you are ignorant morons. Where were you on October 7th? Where were you when 1,200 innocent Israelis - including footballer Lior Asulin, murdered at the Nova festival, and footballer Yaron Zohar murdered fighting Hamas terrorist invaders - were slaughtered? I don't remember seeing any comparable gesture from your team for the Israelis massacred then. So, your protest is disgusting, performative and a national disgrace. You are cowards and you belong in the dustbin of history, like your team in 1936. Go to hell. #IRLISR #COYBIG (Image: German and Irish football teams, Bremen, 23 May 1939. Photographer unknown. NEW | Special Report: What a Limited Russian Incursion Into Estonia Might Look Like: A Narva Scenario A full-scale Russian invasion of a NATO state is extremely unlikely while Russia remains fully committed to war against Ukraine. But full-scale invasion is not Putin's only option to conventionally escalate against a NATO state. Russia could conduct limited ground operations leveraging drones against NATO states not to conquer them, but to break the alliance by causing it to fail to activate and act appropriately on its Article 5 commitments. This scenario is notional — it is not an assessment or forecast that the Kremlin will conduct such an operation. The purpose of studying a Narva scenario is not to suggest that the Russians will conduct this specific operation, although they have set limited conditions to do so already, but rather to explore in detail what such an attack might look like, how the Kremlin might seek to use it to advance its own domestic objectives and to break the alliance, and how the alliance should act both to deter and to defeat any such attack, whether at Narva or elsewhere. A number of NATO states will likely be very hesitant to invoke Article 5 over a limited incursion, fearing the consequences of appearing to launch the alliance into a full-scale war with Russia. NATO certainly has the ability to deter and, if necessary, defeat a Russian operation of this sort. It is not, at the moment, ready to do so at acceptable risk and cost. The US should take every measure possible to demonstrate its commitment to its alliance obligations. Strategic ambiguity invites Russian adventurism and significantly increases the odds that Putin might gamble. NATO must deter and, if necessary, defeat a limited Russian incursion at both the political and the military levels. European states can help deter scenarios like this by developing indigenous counter-drone capabilities, interceptor drones, and skilled drone units of their own that can rapidly identify and strike Russian drone operator positions.
